missing translation and many confusing and amusing machine translation.
please use native speaker to improve the quality of translation. such a good game deserves a better localization work.
We are happy to make improvements to any translation.
Translators are not always going to have the full context of what a word or phrase means in the game, so some things quite literally get lost in translation.
I fully understand how hard translation work is, but I`m curious that there are some funny translation which convy the right imformation but we native speaker just dont use those word to convy the same meaning . such as a translation of season, there is a word "中秋“ we usually regard this word as Mid-Autumn Festival rather than mid fall. Actually we call this season "仲秋”, which is Homonyms of the former one. thx 4 u reply and hope the game will be better and better.
I must point out that the “dismantle” button on the building interface is incorrectly translated as “save” the building.
Building have a “HP” rate, so players may think this button can fix buildings, in fact villagers will dismantle it.
What would you recommend in that context then?
The issue with some of those is that the text is generated from multiple text tags.
For example.
Fall and Mid are separate entries that are combined to say “Mid Fall”
Which can translate poorly in some languages. So in those cases that’s just translators doing the best they can with what the game uses.
wow, I dont expect that , that must be a tough job then.
By the way, I think the former one should be"摧毁建筑“ or ”拆除建筑“.I originally thought that ”save bulidings" was a unsuccseeful black joke or something LOL
meanwhile, there is a problem that the rear wheel just sink into ground, it makes those trade wagon shake crazily.
Which line are you referring to?
that “dismantle” button
Would this be simplified or traditional chinese? Both?
in simplified chinese "摧毁建筑“ or ”拆除建筑“
in tradtional chinese "摧毀建築"or"拆除建築“
Got it, thanks. Will squeeze that into a future update.
Because the material is a dead “corpse”, it is not suitable for slaughtering (target is live).
And the output is not only meat, it is recommended to change to 【處理動物屍體中】
收集X礦中=>【開採】X礦中。X can be gold(金),iron(鐵)…etc.
農舍=>【牧場】
The definition of farmhouse is vague, and the use of pastures will more intuitively represent buildings that are used for herd purposes.
Divid Herd is literally translated as 【分區放牧】, but according to the actual role, it is suggested to be changed to 【移轉(transfer)牲口】
The word “Store” has two meanings, shop and save. The 【飼料商店】 represents shop, so 【飼料庫存 (save) 】should be used in here.I really use a lot of time to find where is the shop sold feed ,lol.
all in Tradtional Chinese.I did not check Simplified Chinese
good idea, just translate into simplified chinese also suitable and appropriate.
a translation missing
a werid mistake. this disease notification, as far as Im concern, is catch+disease method, however, in chinese we seldom consider a broken leg can be "得了断腿“, “断腿” in chinese usually convy the situation ,that the leg is broken. for example, we usually say villager has a"断腿”, which usually meansthis guy has a leg that is broken or just missing some part of leg. considering that I wonder if that is the same meaning of disablity, however, in the same notification mentioned "长期残疾“, which I think is permanent disablity. To be more confusing, there is another disease I remember called fracture which is already translated "骨折” but in chinese "骨折“ include someone broke leg. so whats the difference between fracture and broken leg? if the broken leg means temporary disable I think it need a new way to convy that, if it is a new translation of fracture I think it is better to use old one. by the way , the notification of fracture should be "村民骨折了”or "村民因劳动骨折”,which is more nature, rather than "村民得了骨折“.
