I am not even going to share the email we received, or the belligerent Chinese reviews I’ve read, the personal attacks are just pathetic. Frankly, the person I’ve invited to be in the closed testing group that’s apparently such a pariah in the Chinese community has been infinitely more respectful than the contents of those reviews, but I digress…
What are these busted Chinese pet builds we are evidently oblivious of and catering to?
Please do share these results so that we can review them.
A single-player game doesn’t need to be perfectly balanced since there’s no PVP. The focus should be delivering a more satisfying loot-grinding experience, fleshing out all game content, and fixing existing flaws. After that, niche classes that haven’t seen much playtime ought to get buffs—like the lightning build? What truly makes players enjoy the game is buffs rather than nerfs, alongside more rewards for tackling challenging content.
It’s not really the op pet builds that they are mad about. Most Chinese players can’t care less about pet builds, if I’m being honest. It’s the hypocrisy that this said “pariah,” only two days into the 1.3 era, immediately told one of his pet buddies to report other high-performing builds (some sub-3-minute SR 30-31 builds mostly) here on the forum to call for nerfs while being selectively oblivious about how equally powerful pet builds have been, if not more. Imagine if you are one of those build creators or someone who’s following those builds and is in the middle of assembling all the pieces needed. It’s only natural for them to feel a little betrayed or at least annoyed that their builds might get nerfed all of a sudden just because this one person who happens to be a vocal veteran on a forum they don’t necessarily have access to thinks that their builds are too busted. It only added insult to injury when his aforementioned pet buddy of his made a video on Bilibili attacking people who questioned their intentions, bought heavy site promotions, then proceeded to delete comments from whoever doesn’t stand with them, even the neutral ones (100+ comments with only 10 visible).
I don’t play any pet builds. I don’t have a stance in this drama. And I don’t really care what gets buffed or nerfed. But here’s the Bilibili page with videos of various pet builds created by this said “pariah” if you’re that interested: https://space.bilibili.com/300384508?spm_id_from=333.337.search-card.all.click
I agree with you. No matter how powerful a build is, players won’t stick with it forever. Instead, they’ll try out more fun playstyles, like the poop-spam build?
This poster only made this thread to chase clout and has aligned themselves against ordinary players. Naturally, many players want their builds to be stronger. If a class they intended to play gets nerfed all of a sudden, they lose the motivation to main it.
To that, I completely agree and empathize with you guys. Unfortunately, Chinese communities of many video games are known to have knee-jerk reactions to even hypotheticals, mostly because they don’t really have a channel of communication. Or at least they aren’t aware they have one (this forum) or aren’t used to using it for obvious reasons.
I don’t know how you came to that conclusion. Perhaps they sent you so many emails that it gave you that impression. In reality, the community I’m part of is very friendly. I regularly discuss the game with everyone and have normal, constructive conversations. There’s simply no such thing as what you’re describing.
Just saying all that might not be enough on its own. Right now I’m the owner of a community HC group, the owner of a community summoner group, and an admin of the main community group.
Now, let’s look at what actually happened in this incident. The approval rate from reasonable players who reacted to the events can also help shed some light on what really happened.
The unfriendly player posted an attack video on July 29, 2026.
For the sake of his Praetorian and close test qualification, he naturally needs to appear much gentler in front of you, at least gentler than some angry normal players.
It’s been over half a month since those reports, and things like BMZ said had happened in a way. People’s anger has long been condensed and crystallized. However, I certainly do not support them sending personal attacks via email, as this would provide an advantage to the previously unreasonable two.
I don’t want to argue, but a part of it has already happened. You have weakened the influence of the Altar on Reroll, and will now remove all new revenge loots from the shattered realm. These are not like the physical resistance modification that occurred, as the monster’s physical damage reduction was not implemented and there is room for discussion. I have been persuading players a few days ago that people on the forum have said that Zantai will prioritize fixing bugs and improving the game, and will not rush to weaken the player experience. Now I’m almost unable to convince myself.
I believe some people think the Altar damage type bias influences Inventor Affix rerolls, so when they hear that it doesn’t, they believe it was changed. Presumably, changed very specifically to spite them personally.
Altar’s status tendency used to be able to influence Rerolling. Personally I admit that was not very balanced, and I’m not really mind if it’s changed, but to many players it matters.
This doesn’t make sense. Why does obtaining their loot become a bug when we are battling new Nemesis in SR? Are their pants and shoulders something OP like Kaisan’s eyes?
