My plan is to use Wrathmourne and Temporal Arcblade focussing on Aether, Fire and Lightning damage.
I wish you all the luck, I tried a few times and it always underperformed (ended up being worse than CT sorc), but maybe I was doing it wrong. The advantage is supposed to be high weapon damage on Shockwave, but I never found a way to take advantage of it.
People (including myself) used to think that weapon is only good with Tremor. But since Crate added attack speed, it opened up a wider range of possibilities. Plus, I recently discovered that Tremor’s animation is 32% slower than a normal weapon attack’s at the same speed %, which almost exactly negates the 100% baseline cast speed advantage over 75% baseline attack speed. It still can’t be used with Devastation but with Dev’s 30.6% nerf against small single targets, it’s not as big of an issue as before.
sfbistimg said the same thing a long time ago and it’s fantastic advice. Personally I only really use the pants and boots so I can wear caster armor if I want to.
Agreed on the Slith Primal Ring. Every one of my characters has it equipped. Every single one.
So a weapon switch build? I almost never even think of doing that anymore… do people actually make builds that do?
Anyway, show your GrimCalc if ya got an idea how you’re gunna build so I can see
Note: I just started my character and the body on the bridge dropped me an Scrapmetal Great Axe right away. Guess that’s a good omen? hah
I think he’s just using Wrathmourne from 65-74.
I think so, too.
This is the build I have in mind (I think I should put only 1 point in Mental Alacrity though), plus Arbiter.
Ha alright then… I’ll probably do something close to that, we’ll see. Instead of FW tho I’ll go Cadence and see how it shakes.
I think I agree with you on the Mental Alacrity.
