Yeah I have the same gripe. The game is pretty fun for $10 and I do enjoy the builds and gear, but it can get really repetitive.
New act is up and tons more
This is a very big update and not only does it add the whole new Act 4, but it also adds some new content to all three previous acts, as well as a ton of polish to quests, bosses, areas, and more!
In addition to that, you’ll be seeing many new enemies and Anomaly bosses and layouts, all with a slightly steeper difficulty curve.
Not to mention the all new Spell Scroll and Relic items… this is something you may see much more of in the future!
In addition to that, controllers should now feel even better in combat, the HUD got a slight update, enemies got their resistances re-balanced, most of the mute enemies now got voices, and there’s a few new items for you to find.
So what’s next?
I’m working on a Linux port (finally), and I will also be working a lot with existing items and sets, and the mastery trees will see some updates. My focus on the next few updates will be to work towards a greater build versatility and improved progress & itemization.
Stay tuned!
I need to get back and play this some more. Such a fun game, but I’ve been distracted by other games
Unless the dev has changed this since I last played it. I wasn’t a big fan of your gear never changing it’s appearance, and how fast you were able to swap it. Also, the UI was so tiny. Having to squint to read items was a pain.
Otherwise it has potential.
What???
still the same, since one man dev team, but may change in the future
also you can scale the UI up, check the options
I’ve had this game on my wishlist far too long and this thread has me checking the couch for change.
I didn’t like how the game rewarded you with blazing through an area for keeping your combo going, but then you had to backtrack through the entire level looking for gear upgrades. It eventually turned into a slog where I didn’t care about going back looking for gear and I ended up leaving a lot of good gear on the ground and finding myself undergeared for later levels.
There was also a really horrible balance of constantly swapping out gear. I found some (red?) high quality gear that only lasted me about ten minutes before I found a lower-tier upgrade.
It was fun for a bit, but the game desperately needed polish and balancing.
Interesting…
I’ll have to check this out.
The next act is out, been out for a bit, while I haven’t played it recently, but I have been playing it. yes the game needs balance, but its still in early access, also stuff is going to get reworked, (especailly balance once the final act is out (next year)
I found the game pretty fun for a while, got a warlock to level 100, thats when the best stuff starts dropping, and worth enchanting and adding gems to gear.
Also Some set items will may also change. the new update does change some stuff, but more is on its way in time.
Thanks to ‘What Else Are You Playing?’ I purchased this title on the weekend. Definitely scratches the grind and lootsplosions itch. What it does it does well and has a tremendous amount of potential.
Have they fixed the issue with rushing through areas as fast as possible to keep your combo up then spending 15 minutes backtracking and sifting through all the loot?
There is no issue, wether you rush through is up to you…
IMO
I spoke to one of the devs about this when I last played the game and they said this was an issue they were looking at balancing.
Just a heads up that this game has seen some nice class balancing/revamps recently. They released the last one today, as far as I know.
Still a lot of mindless fun for those looking for something to kill the time. It starts out slow, but once you stack CDR to 90%, it’s fucking fantastic.
