I’d farm Depraved Sanctuary before Cultists Lair, personally. Way better Hero count and you won’t outlevel it until 35-40. Bloods are still going to be kinda rare to get either way, but it’s way better than trying to get Tainted Brain Matters and Ancient Hearts at the 20ish level range.

And I hope you are playing on Veteran to increase the Hero count.

Try farming the last guy just before Darkvale: he drops Ch’thon’s blood sometimes and, on the way there, search for the treasure trove since it too may drop, but dunno the chances on veteran.

Also, there’s another easy treasure trove @ Mountain Deeps: suggest you run it too.

You’ll need some dynamite for the troves, though.

Awesome, thanks! Farming for dynamite is pretty easy for me, so I have a lot in excess and I forget to go back to places I can dynamite for further map areas. I’ll run the Mountain Deeps and see if it doesn’t yield better results. Seems like I’ve always gotten a Ch’thon Blood from those chests, so…

Now that I’ve read the OP edit I now get why you’re getting a level 22 toon farm bloods. Here’s a bit of advice:

1. You don’t have primal instinct blueprint yet. You better not think about it at this time as you’ll probably never get it even at level 100, which means even if you farm a truckload of blood, you might not get to use them for what you want.

2. Blood Grove isn’t the best farming spot for bloods. It’s bastion of chaos. Blood Grove’s got more bloodsworn and less chtonians so it’s natural that you get more seals than bloods. At BoC it’s all chthonians in there = more blood.

3. Don’t use low level chars to farm. Higher level = higher difficulty = higher droprates.

Thanks for the advice, but a friend got the Primal Instinct blueprint, and I need this relic for a Summoner Build I’m making.

I’m no where near end game yet (I’ve just barely gotten to the wintery lands past Blood Grove) so BoC isn’t gonna help me, either (most my leveling is thanks to the Skeleton Key required areas).

And I’m actually running my characters on Elite difficulty (tried Ultimate but kept dying too often, so I guess I’m not that good yet lmao)

How could you try ultimate if you haven’t finished elite :p. Btw, you’re in probably the most boring part of the campaign.

If you really really want those bloods asap then darkvale is your best bet atm, though I still recommend not caring for it right now and just rush through campaign until you reach BoC. Of all the enemies from there only Lucius should give you some trouble but pets should have it easy (you’re playing pets, right? Cause you’re gunning for primal instinct)

Well, I was going off the info you provided stating you were trying to farm with a level 22. Either way using a higher level toon would be the better way to go.
