I’m looking to build a couple of alts. I already have a Saboteur (L57), a Summoner (L20), and a Sorceress (L7) built. I’m looking for suggestions for two other builds, that aren’t dependent on gear.
A 2-hander build (I figure this includes at least Soldier)
A dual-wielding sword (cunning) build (I figure this includes at least Nightblade)
A Warder. I’m currently playing a Warder using Savagery and the passive abilities proccing on default attacks and it’s pretty damn solid. He’s Level 60 and I just went into AUC on Elite. No problems on either groups or bosses - in fact I could facetank almost everything.
I am aiming for this build though I am not sure if I shouldn’t ditch Mark’s Advantage and some other points for Devouring Swarm since this build is dealing quite a bit of bleeding damage. I will see later. http://grimcalc.com/build/fcR3St
Agreed on warder. You definitely want dev swarm if going the bleed route. Primal Strike would be a completely different kind of build (and could go warder, but might be more fun to do elementalist or Druid).
If you have great gear support (so no, based on your post), Witchblade. Otherwise, Warder.
Blademaster. Try to get a completed Shard of Beronath and 2x Reaver’s Claws. Then you can effectively decimate anything with Pierce Damage. Melee in general is kinda gear-dependent though, so be wary of that. Things will hit you, and they will hit hard.
This is a really good acid/poison build. Acid/poison damage has a lot of support in both equipment and devotions. A shard of beronath and a gallstone for your weapons will work. And the shroud of dreeg set is perfect for this, though you’d want to pick pretty much any acid based weapon besides that sets weapon since its base damage is chaos, despite the set giving little to no chaos damage.
As of now I actually don’t have a rightclick-skill. I have slam on the rightclick but I don’t use it anymore - savagery is better. You could put the totem on rightclick or devouring swarm if you decide to take it.
Well, I sticked to only shaman for quite a while. It is somewhat crucial to get the vendigo totem quickly, until then you might have some trouble in the early game. You could theoretically use devouring swarm to level up until you can use vendigo totem and then respecc to savagery. That way you should have a much easier start I think. Otherwise just go for savagery and put more points into the mastery until you have the totem.
For the beginning you don’t need to max out the totem, a few points are enough, so after that you might want to get Feral Hunger to the maximum procc-chance, max out Savagery and Heart of the wild. They are all pretty much equally important. ( Might of the Bear isn’t though, thinking of it I didn’t even specc it yet iirc )
I guess how you continue after that is pretty much open for you. I then put some points into primal bond before getting the soldier mastery to level 32.
For the devotion I first got Tortoise then Falcon, Eel, fox ( though mostly for the completition bonus I think ), Kraken, Chariot of the Dead, empty Throne, Crane and I guess Huntress would be a great addition, putting rend on Devouring Swarm.
