Claw of Hagaraz question

+300% Vitality Damage to Call of the Grave
How does this work?
Call of the Grave is a buff for pets. It doesn’t do any damage.
Does it buff pet Vitality Damage? (looks too strong)

It boosts your character’s Vitality damage, it does not boost your pets’ Vitality damage. It’s a nice bonus if you’re using the Dying God constellation and are using Sigil of Consumption or any other Vitality damage skill.

You can conform this by equipping the dagger in Grimtools and checking your character’s damage section of the stat sheet. Toggling the Call of the Grave buff will increase your character’s Vitality Damage bonus.

Well, Call of the Grave is self buff. The basic one gives you pet modifiers. If +300% vitality damage is added to Call of the Grave it’s added to the buff the skill places on you.

Yes, it boosts my Vitality damage when I activate Call of the Grave.
For pet build useless.
Thanks for responses.

Pretty sure Call of the Grave is ONLY for minions. When I highlight the skill it only lists Bonus for All Pets, nothing for your char.

Activate Call of the Grave and check Damage per Hit (second tab).
It goes up (if you do Vitality Damage).

Sounds like a bug or glitch to me.

Seems like you missed that we’re talking about Claw of Hagaraz, which adds %vitality damage to Call of the Grave. Working as intended.

I guess that’s one way to buff Raise the Lazy Dead…

Seems strange to add a personal DPS buff to a skill that is solely focused on buffing pets.

Well, maybe. Actually, new pet devotions have +%vitality and +%aether as well, perhaps with hybrid caster/pet build in mind. I kinda like the idea, but for now have doubts about this working well later on. These devotions also provide only +%vitality to pets, so you’re limited to skeletons. But skeletons are quite frail, so you’d need defensive stuff for them, for which you don’t have enough devo points :undecided:

It could also be a way to convert a pet skill into one that a non-pet user could use. Think - 1 point for 300% vitality damage buff, that’s not bad. The purpose of skill modifiers is to change how skills work in a (sometimes) significant manner, and I think that’s quite cool.

Didn’t even notice it applied to the character instead of pets, assumed it was a pet buff. Oh well it’s still a nice starting weapon anyway with the +1 to all skills(as cabalist) and some pet dmg.

LOL Starting weapon at 94. It can be end game weapon.
Softcore players only care about dmg
