Cleansing waters vs Mogdrogen's 50% HP buff

mogd
It seems cleansing waters(cw) cannot remove this buff. I bind cleansing waters with shadow strike and see the blue circle show under Mog’s feet, but Mog still looks electrified so I guess this buff is not removed. Questions:

  1. What exactly is Mog’s ‘buff’? Some built-in “passive bonus” triggered at 50% hp which is not counted as ‘passive buff’?
  2. What types of ‘beneficial auras’ can cleansing waters remove?
  3. What situation can cw be valuable? (The most useful case I can think of is when the Mad Queen turns red. ) Is it helpful at all when fighting Celestials?
  4. It’s CD is buffed a lot recently. Still worth to use?

Thanks a lot!

What triggers below certain health threshold is called circuit breaker and it’s not considered as buff.

Cleansing Waters is similar to Nullification skill. It can remove shields, also noticed healers are susceptible to the effect. Some heroes have nasty damage absorb auras, so they can be removed. Probably Anasteria can be affected too.

CD was reduced. Not sure if it’s worth . Probably on pets or if you need affinity. I think in SR may have application.

Presumably it’s because he’s a celestial, it works on Maidens low hp buff and on those annoying reflect heroes though it’s main use is removing debuffs from yourself I suppose.

Some buffs are marked in their dbr files as unremovable by Nullification effects. This goes for your player as well, for example sometime after release, the Potion of Clarity buff was made unremovable by enemy effects, only death does it.

Edit: Opening up mogdrogen_enrage.dbr:

I think pretty much all enrage buffs enemies have are unnullable (i don’t believe this is an actual word but i’ll use it anyway).
