Hey guys! Im using a dual wield cold-pierce Spellbreaker, and was wondering if any1 has a recommended setup for it .
I’m running @ around 61% phys-to-cold conversion, 1325% cold damage and 769% pierce damage. The build focus on AA procs and SS to deal damage. I`m currently using the following devotion setup:
It would be helpful to post your build too, but the fact that Spellbreaker is generally such a squishy combo may require you to pick up several defensive devotions.
This can often times be mitigated with equipment choices but cold/pierce seem to be damage types lacking in that regard.
If you have 60% physical to cold, I guess you want to use daggers and convert all the physical damage left into piercing damage, so try Blades of Nadaan.
You didn’t link your skills so I can’t help with those, but I did adjust your devotions to get more damage. You already had Blades of Nadaan, so I’m assuming you want 50/50 cold/pierce. You will need to gear defensively with this setup though.
Sorry for skipping on the build itself! Yeah it is squishy, but aside from two deaths in Ultimate Act 1, I havent had problems so far (just arrived in Homestead). Most resistances are near cap and I have 7.6k HP. Between lifesteal, Mirror, PB and Scourge Strike, I’m all set.
Gear wise, I’m currently using 4/5 Deathmark with a Nex to boot.
Edit: Here’s the current build (with the extra points)
You should pick up nulification; it’s terrific against bosses with annoying auras/abilities. Consider picking up circle of slaughter as well. The fumble on it will help you survive. You don’t need to overlevel any wps except for execution, so consider putting the points elsewhere like circle of slaughter/OFF. Looks good though.
Believe it or not you’re not all set. You might be able to get by with clutch usage of those skills, but you have to remember that many end-game bosses can hit for a significant portion of damage. For instance, my Blademaster (who is pretty tanky in his own right with good defenses and 12k health) was recently hit for 6,157 damage. That’s pretty much your entire life bar. All it would take is another enemy looking at you funny and you’re a goner.
This is my experience and it’s not to belittle you, but to save you from frustration later on.
I’ve actually had pretty close calls, and it’s not uncommon to notice my HP bar going all the way down. But it goes back to full right after. It does make me little heart skip a beat but I see that as a feature of the build, not a problem! Until I get to a point where I am consistently 1 shot or something, I’m not too worried:p
