Has anyone found or rolled the commando’s prefix lately? For the past 3 weeks I’ve been trying to roll a medal with this prefix and have rolled many many times with no success. I have also noticed that I don’t see any qualified gear dropping with this prefix either.
Medals and chest pieces have an incredibly bloated affix pool, which makes the chance for each individual affix staggeringly small.
yeah grimtools database made it clear the odds were not great but I’m at the point where the insane amount of resources i’ve invested made wonder if something was bugged. Just knowing someone else has found or rolled this prefix would at least give me comfort I wasn’t dumping resources into something that wasn’t going to show
It’s possible, but same feeling me and my friend had with suffix “of dranghoul” really…
I’m 90 % certain I have rolled into the Commando’s prefix a few times over the past few weeks. It’s just incredibly pricy to fish for medal affixes, to the point where you need like 30+ medals to have enough of a reserve to possibly roll into at least one affix you’re looking for before you max out the reroll price on all of them. If you have any other way to get the +skills you want, it’ll be infinitely cheaper to go for those than trying to fish for the right medal. Rolling them is pure agony.
would need mi0 or modal to tell me how Commando specifically, or +2-2 class prefix in general, qualifies on drop or bias pool, to be aware of its interaction at all 
- let alone a potential bug.
Looking at my stash i have very few items with that prefix, and 0 foa items so far
^don’t take this as confirmation of anything, could just be it’s a super low weighted affix
what you could do is download gdstash and give yourself a million ashes and zillion iron to check out spam rerolling a single item
The thing is, it took forever for me to get the suffix I needed so now that I have it I feel trapped rolling the prefix even at the 120k bits 8 ash cost. On top of that it’s a wendigo glare medal which is a royal pain in the ass to try and farm. I stashed as many as I could while fishing for the suffix but maybe I should just do low cost rolls for the commando prefix with the other medals because this prefix is possibly the rarest one I’ve ever grinded for. I thought getting augur was bad for my chaos mystic but this is on a whole other level
From personal experience I feel like getting one affix you want on a medal is about as realistic as you’re going to get unless you’re sitting on a pile of “generational wealth” from previous characters. Trying to roll the perfect double rare on a medal is bound to bankrupt you, either on resources or sanity. Usually what I do is identify whichever affix of the two is the one most crucial to my build, try to fish for that (and even for that I need often 30+ medals to get it done without maxing out the costs) and then I settle for whatever even remotely relevant second affix I randomly land on after that.

didn’t Z say that reroll strips affix bias? Which means it might make it even harder to get some affixes, and on other medals “on avg” potentially easier to drop the prefix outright(altar) than reroll 
So drop the Commando prefix, reroll suffix and settle for rng (if didn’t luck out and get good suffix on drop too ofc)
*edit, also realizing, can class prefixes reroll at all now since the lvl 94 change? or are 90s rare/class affixes included in that lvl 92 pool still
My last build was a chaos mystic which I rolled into the Augur prefix, lvl 94, which gives +2 to werewolf. Is that what you mean by rolling into a class affix? The thing is, I don’t see the Commando affix drop on any qualified gear at all. From the countless gear drops from totems, elites, bosses, and chests I haven’t seen any. All the other rare prefixes that are part of the same pool that commando is in I have seen. It’s driving me insane lol. If the medal was easier to farm I would just try that but the wendigo glare is only on a select few enemies and shares the same drop pool as other medals for that enemy so it’s tough to farm.
if you’re allied with Barrowholm run the 3 bosses, if you’re hostile run the cellar, pretty much a waste to try run anything else afaik
From personal experience, the class prefixes are noticably more rare than other prefixes. They must have lower chances, but I do not know the numbers myself. I’m pretty sure this is intended too.
