Conduits with right resists are much harder to get than MI's for legit players

I’ve noticed a few builds posted that rely on getting the right resists on the conduits.

There is already a 1/9 chance to get the proper crafted amulet. But then there is a 1/5 chance to get the right resists for a 1/45 chance.

That’s 10 udgenbloom each (plus one symbol of solael and one blessed whetstone). You could spend 450 ugdenbloom and still not get the right one.

Now there’s no problem with posting the build. But the conduits are bundled with no greens to make it seems like it’s more accessible, but it actually isn’t. Not even close.

EDIT: When I refer to MI’s, I mean just getting ANY MI with ONE okay affix. And best would be ONE good rare affix. Getting double rare affixes I do fully understand are ridiculously hard to get, as I believe I will never see a stonehide of kings on my boots.

The intention of the Conduits isn’t to get “the perfect one” for a build, it’s to get one that enables a build to function where it otherwise would not. Whether that’s a good thing is up for interpretation, but it is what it is.

I’d say farming 1000 ugdenbloom is much easier than farming a double rare MI with affixes you want, but it is still quite a bit of a jump in difficulty of gear acquisition compared to normal fully slotted builds.

For example a year ago I had a fully slotted Avenger Warder but no Conduit of Wild Whispers.

conduis are craftable items
MI are not

you can farm and get money + ingridients for craft much easy than spend 100.000 hours to find good afixes on MI items

Tbh, many conduits have interchangeable resists now. Aether, chaos, acid are all interchangeable with vigil, veiltouch, and fiends blood augments

Options exist to be something to pursue, doesn’t mean everything has to fit your definition of accessible.

That is true with a most builds that I have seen but not with at least a couple that I have seen. It varies from build to build, which is why I mentioned that there are few that rely on them, and not all.

Fair enough. But what’s the solution here mate? You can’t cater for every single scenario

A general response to the affixes. I never wanted to imply that you needed stonehide of kings for greens. I understand how unlikely that is since I have yet to see one in all of the boots I have crafted. I fully understand that they don’t need the affixes. I repeat, it is a few builds that rely on the resists, and not all, as you can fix the resists with augments on most conduit builds.

I figure if the build relies on the conduit resists, than go all out with BIS for each slot. Which means greens in some cases.

Is there a pattern among the builds you’ve noticed with this problem?

A particular damage type? A class combination?

Tbh, BiS items are more often than not purple

Yes, I understand that completely.

I’m just wondering if there’s a pattern to the problem. For the record, I’m not trying to be combative. Just trying to shoot straight with you here mate

what the main idea of this thread?
show us how difficult to get right conduit?
or make in compendium MI=Conduit?

Actually, after investigating the builds, maybe I exaggerated the situation, or I am wrong.

And there is no pattern to the problem that I see.

If people don’t mind farming all that ugdenbloom even for the 1/9 chance, then I guess it’s not really an issue. BUT you need all that ugdenbloom just for the rest of the components! It’s already getting tedious when 95% of farming is JUST for udgenbloom. Maybe that’s just my opinion.

So maybe my point should have been that it’s tedious and boring as hell to get the conduit, and not that it’s hard.

It’s definitely less painful than farming for kuba pants, I can promise you that

I have at least a few of thunderstruck, stonehide, and kings kuba pants just from crucible/SR farming, and not even trying. Not double affixes, but at least one. I don’t get how it is less painful, unless you mean double rare affixes.

I should have been more clear about the MI’s in my first post.

Yup. Sorry. I meant double rate affixes. Which I suppose is similar in a way to conduits since you want relevant resists + relevant skill mods

It may just be that these builds are just designed too greedily.
Just my take, but as a legit player I wouldn’t even consider a build viable if it relied on a Conduit to fill a specific resist and get the right skill modifier on top of that. One of the two is hard enough, both? Not happening.
Just because something is possible on grimtools or with 3rd party programs doesn’t mean players are entitled to have easy access to it.
