Have been trying to build something around this weapon in the past few hours but I just couldnt come up with something simply because it seems there isnt a single epic / legendary that supports combined phys. / cold dmg. or ele. dmg. :undecided:

EDIT: Also no cold + phys augments / proper comps / pre- & suffixes!? D:

Am I missing something here or is there really no support?

I mean it seems to synergice somewhat ok with soldier plus either nightblade or inquisitor because of the phys + ele. / cold scaling but 2 classes alone dont make a build without proper support…

…and getting good greens with said stats while caping res. is near impossible unless you no-life. :frowning:

I wouldn’t do Physical/Cold with it as there is little crossover anywhere for either damage type - no resist reduction, no devotion supports both types and so on. You’ll be trying to force synergies if you try.

What you could try is using the Octavius head/chest (and possibly a pair of Bladetwister signets) to convert Lethal Assault and Great Tide’s damage to mostly Physical and potentially Pierce and build a Blademaster around it.

If anyone has found a way to do Physical/Cold with it successfully, i’de be interested in seeing it.

2x BT Signets + Mythical PoTM = 90% Pierce Conversion
2x Octavius Piece + Spellscourge Shoulders = 90-100% Physical conversion

Just use as physical weapon.
Look for my 2-h Forcewave build (in signature), as an example.

Forgot about PoTM/Spellscourge Shoulders. I’de almost definitely go Physical Blademaster then and use Lethal Assault’s Cold converted to Physical alongside Cadence. Great Tide should do well for AoE and/or proccing devotions.

On my cold dmg tactician I use this weapon mostly for the stats and skills. Using Crown of the winter king ice spines as my main attack, not a single point in cadence (Scourge is my LMB) and it’s working surprisingly well so far.

Now the big BUT, seems like I was right about the lack of cold + phys support, sadly. :frowning:
Would be something great for maybe a future class / items / augs, comps… and so on then! :slight_smile:

Would’ve really loved to make some big hammer swinging guy freezing mobs and so on… :eek:

Edit 2: Could someone please write down the full name of said items that might be able to make this weapon work?
