Hello guys, I like Grim Dawn and I played for over one year until I noticed such a great and powerful tool named GD stash. I am not sure whether it is okay to discuss here but I do need your help please.
I know GDstash is so powerful to generate eqipments and put them into your inventory. This is what I’ve been using recently. But there is also a section called ‘Mass import’, which I am confused about.
what is this Mass Import for?
In that section I can copy my inventory entirely into the database and I can even export the database into a gds file. but I didn’t get the point of doing so.
can I import stuff from gds file into my inventory please? If not, why do I need to export gds from my inventory?

import all items across your different chars (e.g. if you have mules)
import all items across multiple stash files (if you use multiple stashes to store more items)
export and import the stored items into a .gds (GD Stash) or .ias (Item Assistant) file. You would use .gds as a backup of your stored items and .ias to switch to or from GDIA
Good to know how it works, but I still didn’t get it.
You said I can use .gds to back up my stored items, I kind of understand that but how I can restore my inventory from .gds plz?
I know that I can transfer/copy items from player inventory into .gds, but never see the way back.
You don’t, you can import that file into the tool again if you e.g. have a new PC or lost your database due to a HD crash or something.
Once you have imported the .gds file back into GD Stash, you can place the items in the shared stash on the Transfer page, just like you would do for any other item.
