Can you remove the requirement for a Mace weapon in the Rhowan’s Scepter constellation and also the Blades of Nadaan. I’m basically forced to get Rhowan’s Scepter to make my constellation “course” work right. But since i don’t use a mace its 6 completely wasted points.
I can understand setting restrictions for skills obviously, but most these constellations are just stepping stones to better ones, and if you start putting a weapon requirement on a few of them it messes it up and you run into issues like I am having.
they should remove specific weapon requisites for class skill.
Why should a nightblade be forced to use blades; the class is essentially an assassin class and people want to dual wield pistols.
I don’t think the restrictions need to go away altogether, and I actually quite like the idea of weapon-specific skills and constellations as they can help provide a framework to plan your build around. That said, they should really be used in ways that actually make sense. Some of the game’s current weapon restrictions feel a bit arbitrary. Blitz and shield bash immediately come to mind, where pistol + shield can’t use the skill even though the shield would be used for damage calculation anyway
Edit: As for getting around the devotion tree, I’d say the best way of dealing with them would be to redistribute color yields so that they’re not important for getting around the tree. Move some of those 1/1 yields onto weapon constellations, and make the high-yield constellations more general-purpose.
These weapon restrictions are there to help with build diversity, while also making so that each weapon category has it’s own charm.
Also, it wouldn’t make any sense, for exemple, for the Blades of Nadaan, a constellaton that is, well… a bunch of swords, to benefit guns… not to mention balancing issues that would appear everywhere.
