% Constitution on gear: should it stay or should it go?

pretty much the title. although being a rare case, % Constitution can still be found on some endgame gear, like this ring of this armor piece or this augment.

Constitution may be a nice help for sustain at early levels when one doesn’t have proper LL or heals or regen but loses its purpose very fast after that. So, my suggestion is simple: remove it from those endgame gear altogether or replace with sth a bit more meaningful in endgame. Another resist, OA/DA, a bit of extra regen.

so, what do you think?

I really like the constitution system, but especially now with infinite healing potions it’s really not that important anymore. Definitely not past the first chapter.

Also don’t forget our friendly Meat shield with hefty 100% increase in constitution

ye, I mentioned not all of the items. Meat Shield and Tinkerer’s Belt also have it.

Constitution used to be pretty important before this update yeah. I remember having to get some soup on my first gameplays!

Maybe in the next expansion, you’ll be able to take soup with you for some buffs as a potion replacement? There could be a nice use for some phys or fire damage at the beginning of the game for example, or pierce/acid res in Homestead.

Bring back the soups please.

IMO:

Useful for new players who don’t quite know the ins and outs of recovery in GD.

Useful while leveling, especially if health pot/skills are on CD and HPS is low.

For veteran players, not so much, and it suffers from a sort of diminishing returns in the usefulness category once you are aware of mechanics and build sustain accordingly.

Personally I wouldn’t want to get rid of it but would rather it be revamped.

the thing is the thread about high level (like 75+) gear and one lvl 90 augment, and by that time every player, I guess, has access to some form of sustain.

having Constitution on low levels is not bad at all.

i don’t know if constitution is even, aeh what’s the word Zantai uses, budgeted in? on the items, (fire res on fire items acid res on acid items), so if it’s not part of the stat balance factor, what’s the harm in keeping it? - “Thematic” or something i guess
it’s kinda like dot retal, alot of constitution got removed a few patches ago, but some stuff still got left in - so i’m assuming it doesn’t have a balance consideration then for mid-late/endgame stuff?

But yea otherwise, definitely useless; unless something happens to the system in FoA

Pretty sure this is the case. Constitution probably has little effect on an items budget

I would rather nerf other mechanics (infinite potions, high regen) to make constitution great again. I like the way it works, how it rewards kiting.

Okay sure. But changes should be for the health of the game at all levels.

I get this but health pots/regen won’t stop the occasional death even if infinite or at high levels. My HC deaths are usually just 100-0 faster then I can push the button to heal and they certainly will out damage even 4K regen which is respectable for non regen masteries that sacrifice devo path and gear for regen.

There are things I would like to see done with the stat but it would require a rebalancing of health and giving item budget to the stat.

Sadly the game, even after sunder addition, rewards facetanking in 98% of time.
