I noticed that when selecting ‘Continue’ when starting the game results in the game loading the last autosave file, not the last saved game file. ‘Continue’ should load the latest game file regardless if it has been manually saved or autosaved.

Did you recently load the autosave? I believe it currently bases the Continue button off of last save or last loaded.

No, I saved the file on top (02 034) and when I continued the game by pressing continue I realised some things I know I had built was missing. I investigated a bit and realised that it was the second to last file that the game selected for loading on continue.
I have noticed this issue as well.
