Conversion Modifier on Blood of Dreeg

Counts the modifier only for the flat damage on BoD or does it convert every unconverted damage I deal as long as i have BoD active?

I was wondering how this works, coz there is the Darksource Amu witch converts 100% acid to chaos (https://www.grimtools.com/db/items/7862).
On the other hand there is a MI amu (https://www.grimtools.com/db/items/7824) and the MI one handed range weapon (https://www.grimtools.com/db/items/8679) for elemental to acid

For me, that means it’s all damage not only BoD’s flat damage.

is that right?

It will act as a global damage converter as long as BoD is up.

so as i thought, thx

Ooooooooh, oooooooh, a global damage converter? Woaw, I was soooooo confused about that property since there’s no elemental damage anywhere in Blood of Dreeg’s description, THAT is nice to know, thanks!

Another interesting point to note is that because the conversion comes as part of a skill instead of directly from the item, it has priority/precedence as in it comes before the typical item conversion step. I came across this during my elemental to acid dw pistol build.

Two of the elemental-> acid pistols give 90% conversion to BoD. Radaggan set’s helmet contains an elemental to vitality conversion, which is around 30%. If all of the conversion comes as item conversion, these will add up to 120%, and then get adjusted (divided by 1.2), reducing the acid damage, with no elemental damage leftover.

Instead, u will get a 90% elemental to acid conversion first, followed by a 30% conversion of the remaining 10% to vitality (effectively 3%) with 7% elemental leftover. This is nice since the set doesnt actually reduces the conversion even with having a elemental to vit conversion build in.
