I have a Question regarding the conversion of weapon damage. Assume I have a skill that deals
100 Physical Damage
100% Weapon Damage
and lets assume for simplicity that my weapon deals exactly 100 Physical Damage. Now assume I convert 100% of this skills physical damage into aether damage and that I convert on general 30% of my physical damage into aether damage.
Would that leave my with a total damage of
130 Aether Damage
70 Physical Damage
or would I actually get the
200 Aether Damage.
In short: Does the game count the weapon damage added to skills als skill damage or does it add it after the conversion already happened?
“There is no order, all conversion happens at the same time.
If you go over 100% you simply have to use weights instead of percentages. That’s 60/(60+52) = 53.6% physical converted to aether and 52/(60+52) = 46.4% physical converted to elemental.”
Hope it helps.
also the thread :https://www.reddit.com/r/Grimdawn/comments/4iukfr/conversion_above_100/
So conversion above 100% is not an increase in dmg
Edit: i misread your post. What you mean by convert 100% of skill phys dmg? U refer to edge of Sanity weapon? That will convert I believe all your phys dmg for that particular skill. The general conversion is only for any other phys skills
Yes, this is about edge of sanity. My question is: Will Edge of Sanity only convert the flat physical damage amount of Forcewave or will it also convert the %weapon damage (which are mostly physical) into aether damage.
It might be just flat phys on skill because it doesn’t mention the weapon (like bone harvest Transmuter)
But I can check later when i get home from work as i inted to build around it too.
