So i recently went heavily into crafting. Thanks to treasure troves and dismantling i feel that rare crafting materials are in a good spot rarity wise. Even manticore eyes drop enoughish after the latest changes.
But to me the number of chtonic seals is staggeringly high at times. Haunted steel for example: you need a vengeful wraith for every haunted steel, and every vw takes 3 cs. Plus 3 cs for every hs itself…thats 24 cs for just one hs. If a olerons blood is needed for this item as well, thats 12 more.
I can see following adjustment options:
reduce all recipes where more than 1 cs is needed to just one
change some recipes from cs to aether crystals, which drop much more reliable
increase the drop rate of cs
change the recipes, so that they have less parts
Personally i think a combination of 1 and 3 (increasing the drop rate by 50%) would to the trick
Getting the Ectoplasm to make Vengeful Wraith is much more time consuming than getting the binding seals. Run Village of Darkvale and Darkvale Gate. The seals drop in abundance.
If you really need chtonic seals, just farm tomb of korvaak non-stop
The drop rate there is A LOT higher for some reason, just kill all cultists, exit and do it again.
Btw I agree with, outside the tomb of korvaak chtonic seals could use a buff for their drop. I mean, many times I kill every single cultist in the blood grove without finding a single seal…it is indeed very annoying
Uh, yeah maybe, I guess, depending how you take the words.
To elaborate, I think seals are the second hardest thing, but they’re easy compared to ectos. A close second compared to say, embers or claws.
I haven’t needed to craft a lot of skeleton keys, either. I’ve just needed to craft a few haunt relics. Ectoplasm is also important in gear for casters. It’s just high demand stuff.
Only bottle neck in anything is vengeful wraiths, and unless you specifically farm them the seal to craft them. Unless you don’t kill anything on the way you easily end up with 30+ each completed common mats per character when finished with ultimate.
