Critical script BUG with keeping FLOUR in Barn and Storage!
Setting limits of Flour in Barn and Storage are broken! Game scruipt is not reacting on it! All Flour accumulating inside Mill storage! It is critical, because Bakery’s employees have to travel three days to get to the mill outside the city, and the entire chain is not functioning properly!
Barn (Ambar, Granarie) - i mean a place for storing Grain and Flour. Sorry, i’m not playing the english version.
The main problem with the Flour storage script is that the Flour only starts moving from the Mill to the Granarie and other storage facilities when the Mill’s own storage facility is full!
The Bread is produced in the city center, which means that the Bakery staff has to spend time traveling straight to the Mill!
Script ignores and does not execute commands to set the minimum storage limits for Flour in the city center near Bakery!
Please, check the lines of the Flour storage script in the game.
This is how it works for every processing building in the game. All you have to do is wait until the Mill has started moving Flour to the Granary until you have your Bakery worker start working. If the Mill worker can’t keep up with the Bakery, then your production is too low (or, what it looks like in your case, the travel time is far to long for them compared to the Bakery worker’s travel time.
It’s sounding like you may have set up your Mill way too far away from the Bakery for the logistics to work very well
Global script sounds right and logical.
And if I don’t want to wait for all storage units (450 items of Flour) to be filled on the three Mills, I give the game a lawful order to deliver (min limit!) a specific amount of flour to a local Storage unit that I prefer.
However, the game ignores my command!
In other cases (other resourses), the orders are executed instantly (I’ve tested this). This led me to suspect a bug with flour storage.
Executing such commands makes any production sequence workable.
Global script and process is good, but the game has no right to ignore the player’s orders if they can be executed, in my opinion. (That, what strategy genre is)!
Now I’m placing bakeries outside the city, near the mills. The bakeries no longer give the city any prestige, but they have significantly increased the production of bread.
It means that the script is broken and will remain broken!
Until you fix it, it is inefficient to place bakeries in the city center, as well as other production buildings.
Your problem isn’t storage. Your problem is you are not producing enough flour to fulfill your backeries. Your backeries are running out of flour and so traveling straight to the grain mill. Make more grain mills and your problem should be solved. 1 grain mill sub stains 1.5 backeries roughly.
