I’m seeing these Steam multiplayer games more and more often, usually two or three up at a time. Does this mean the goal is to get to 100, die, then restart at 80 checkpoint? What is the benefit of the death as opposed to finishing the waves? Why are all the hosts AFK? Are they doing us some sort of favor?
Damn kids and their lingo…
I don’t know the specifics, but it seems to be a game where the host is just afking and trying to reap the benefits of the other players running the waves 80-100. Why? Because when the other players open the chest, the loot for the host will stay on the ground. Why players would go into a such a game? I really got no fucking clue.
That’s why it’s puzzling to me as well. There seems to be zero benefit to the joining player.
I too am sick of seeing these all over with only one or two open games with people that actually want to play. Only thing I could think of as a benefit for a single player is unverified info; does the quality of loot increase based upon number of people in game?
