Hi,
So after reading about crucible and watching some videos, I decided to buy it.
There are still a few things Id like to know, my character at lvl 60 is laking some good gear, so, how should I proceed to farm crucible?
Just until I die?
Give up after the wave I know I can safely reach to? (once I find it)
Give up after x number of waves?
Also, how do devotions points exactly work? I heard you can get 5 DP very easily, does that mean that I have 5 more points to expend or the first 5 shrines I restore will give no DP?
About Devotion points, you can unlock them in Crucible by paying tributes, and the cost keeps going up. That’s why people are recommending buying five, after that, it becomes quite costly, and you need tribute for buying buffs and beginning at higher waves.
But the max for devotion points stays the same : 50 (55 with AoM). Shrines you restore will keep granting you devotion points until you reach the max, then restoring a shrine only gives you decent loot (even legendaries sometimes if you’re over level 50). In a sense, it’s not the 5 next shrines that won’t give you points, but 5 more of the last shrines that only give loot.
I personally never buy devotion points in crucible as you’d have to skip shrines on purpose not to get them all while levelling.
Also, I don’t even think about farming Crucible until my char is fully specced with all target gear and max skill and atribute points (meaning almost clearing Ultimate in main game with the last skill point quest being right at the end).
IMO there’s no use farming Crucible at lvl 60 as you won’t be getting endgame gear anyway. Start at lvl 90ish.
Loot-wise, it’s better to quit than die in the middle of next round.
