Hardcore grim dawn multiplayer (without gaming friends) is virtually non-existent.
The crucible opens up a lot of potential. All it will take is some coordination with some form of steam group or whatnot… I can totally see leveling exclusively through the crucible on hardcore mode in full groups a thing…
Here is why I love the Crucible and it has to do with FLAWS in the current ARPG’s of our time… (Path of exile, Diablo 3, Grim Dawn, etc…)
Why do you think players do baal runs in D2 besides the XP? It brought the players together in a certain location without worrying about people wondering off. Same goes for TOMB runs and tristram runs…
The issue with ARPG’s nowadays (multiplayer) is when you group up, everyone wants to be the leader. There are no followers… Just split up and do your own thing… I think ARPGs really need to find a solution to this.
The crucible is a perfect example of what multiplayer ARPGs should look like. Events that aren’t too big to keep the group together!
