So I’m just doing the first playthrough of the crucible atm and have a few questions 
Do blessings last through all difficulties or just the one your on ?
Same question for defenses ?
There is multiple maps, do you get to choose or does it place you in a random map each time ?
If I leave half way through is my progress saved ?
Aether res wasn’t really needed before. I only have 50% in ultimate should I get more ?

blessings are buffs you pay for, and if you are in multiplayer, all players get the blessing(only the character buying it will pay the price)
the duration is long enough to last 40 waves, if you do nothing between rounds and start as soon as possible. You can make it last more or less than this, of course. I don’t remember the exact time.
they behave the same way as any other buff you activate would.

they will be gone once you leave that session. Using the npc to start from the beginning, in singleplayer the structures are still there. In multiplayer, it wasn’t iirc.

there are checkpoints, for example if you start a sessoin and get to wave 90 and you die, you can pay ~5 tribute to restart at wave 50, the tribute cost increases as you restart.
