Curious - Anasteria and nemesis

Since we are getting some new nemesis bosses - what happens to hostile Anasteria when she reaches nemesis status - is she an exception (like Aetherial and Chthonian factions) or is she getting some help? I’m guessing nothing changes, but has it been mentioned by Zantai on stream or discord?

Technically The Outcast faction have no nemesis. And only one enemy belong to faction: Anasteria itself. It even have unique infamy reward instead of “Nemesis spawn”: Vengeance of the Outcast.

They really should just make bae officially a Nemesis, since she is just about as dangerous as they are. Especially in high SR.

Really, the Outcast could use more stuff in general. It’s basically dead content, unless you love Devastation like me.

+1 to giving the Nemesis status no the outcast Anasteria, wit her own MI like kaisan: You want her MI? Forgot about SR/CR, go neme with her.

she already has 4 MIs
and the helmet already can’t be obtained in SR

I should have checked. Her MIs can drop in CR/SR? I don’t recall see any.

Anyway, regarding to the helmet, you “only” need one, wich can be farmed with one character and done. The same with her MIs, you could need affixes which you don’t have and farm more… With the same character you used to farm the helmet, but at least, you could become her enemy with a new toon instead of using the old character one to farm.

I think we have the same core problem with barrowholm:
I’ve a character to farm the faction’s MIs? Yes? Sooo, why I should become her enemy. IMO there is no mayor reason to become hostile besides particular preferences

Why would you want to do her quests? They’re the most boring ones in the game imho.
It really doesn’t matter much either way.

i’m confused,
you want her to have MIs; she already has 4
you want her to have special MI that can’t be obtained in cruci/SR; she already does that too
so the issue is?? - helmet is not universal utility? (should all MIs really be that?)

i think people already covered that in your other thread, target farming.
going hostile with barrowholm has always been best for specific MI obtaining (technically better still now)

not quite sure why it needs a bigger incentive than that, or what that incentive should be

fun bonus spawns appear in SoT, Bastion and PV :scorv:

Hm… maybe I should try to finish them with another character next time  I usually can’t be bothered to run around doing her groceries. :stuck_out_tongue:

i do it because i full clear when i level, that’s it, so i’m clearing key dungeons anyway and might aswell do the quests on the way
And her augs can be kinda handy early game when you use a Mandate, but nothing gamebreaking if we don’t use her rep

I quite like the quests. Also, you get the reward of her showing up in Malmouth to grass up Korinia.

Nonono, don’t get me wrong. I’m okey with that, with she having Mis, with the helmet exclusive to campaign (idk about MIs, they are exclusive to campaign?). I just didn’t checked. It isn’t bad incentive… for one character.

But my point is, even if I like that, I think it isn’t enough. After that, after you have a character able to farm Anasteria, you don’t really have more incentives. Why I should become hostile with her if I already can farm her items with other characters? I could just pass, go venerated and unlock a bunch of augmets (even if i wont use them at that moment) + some quests. Not like i’m “excluding” items.

What about making her MIs non-transferable, tied to the character? Something like slith necklaces or black legion necklaces.

MIs /= quest items @_@

also not quite sure what the issue is
If you want her pants; go hostile, it’s not just her helmet, it’s better to targetfarm than roll the dice in SR
And the kaisan example makes little sense too; how often are you actually using Kaisan necks? how many chars are you actually farming them on/for ? - most builds as far as i’m aware of aren’t all slotting kaisans, even if i have more than 2 chars using it
(i also had more than 2 builds using devas helmet btw)

I know, but are lootable items which cannot be transferred to other characters. Along with kaisan, they’re items farmable in campaign. Examples of how it works/itcould work.

The issue is the one i said before: you don’t need to become hostile as while you can farm with one character. You get more options by become friendly and farm the items you need with the the one you became hostile. After that one, there is no incentive to become hostile. You can free be friendly at zero cost.

i don’t understand, what’s happening here
MIs are not quest items and have 0 relation and 0 reason to not be transferable just because quest items are, it’s a strange totally unrelated connection to draw
Kaisan amulet is also not soulbound, so i’m even less sure what it matters Ana’s MIs are not soulbound, faction MIs are not soulbound, uniques are not soulbound - i not only don’t see the issue with that, let alone just because some quest items are?

“which applies to anything in the game for drops”
You don’t need to farm BoC if you don’t want Vanquisher or Sharzul mace, and you only need to farm it “once” if you do want it/don’t have to farm it on the actual character that wants or needs it even if being interested in the item.

It seems like a semi strange issue that’s just very arbitrarily gating off certain stuff for no real added value?

We can also make all items soulbound so other chars have an incentive to farm totems or SR always, it would be boring if the only reason you take a char in cruci or sr is to test build performance :scorv:

Okey. Lets sumarize the point and what i’m trying to say: After you become hostile with Anasteria once. What’s the reason to become hostile to her? What’s the big deal of choosing side?

I’m suggesting to make soulbound loot. If not that, what?

PD:

BoC doesn’t gives you a vendor if you don’t want to farm there. Anasteria, yes.

nothing

same as every other faction…
if i don’t want something from barrowholm, MIs or Augments, what does it matter if i go hostile or allied?

i don’t follow, are you attributing worth to Anasteria’s vendor now?
because if so, most would disagree, and if not; there you have your incentive… “just like other factions”

the incentive is the same for other factions
go hostile if you want MI targetfarm
go friendly if you don’t care about targetfarm or killing her, or if you want faction shop.
It doesn’t have to be deeper than that/Ana doesnt’ need special treatment from Kymon etc

Worth in the way that’s better than “absolutely nothing” for not doing a dungeon.

Meanhile, I wish we had more incentives to choose a faction over another. Soulbound items like i said or whatever else…

I think this is the reason we are not agree and probably won’t be.

I actually chuckled a bit when I read that line.
