While I had uninstalled this game, it’s like quitting smoking, or drugs or alcohol, ya just come back.
Well I saw the announcement for the second expac and it seems like some sort of Arabian warrior will be the next class. Can we hope for two as will ashes? If we can can we plead for a viking ess type character!? A Northman of some sort. Watched videos of wolves of Midgard but the whole have to find a fire from time to time is a real turn off to me, kinda like dying to the ground in this game.
Still enjoying the rune mastery in Titans Quest haven’t made it to the Viking act yet as I’ve been leachin crucible games to gear up characters.
Whoa, they added a new Norse themed act to TQ? Damn, I guess I will have to retire my old physical copy of the game and buy it online now! Also going to need more Amon Amarth albums!
EDIT: After reading the reviews on GoG, then again maybe I won’t.
DrThoss, the Ragnarok expansion isn’t bad, but still has things that could be improved and some bugs to get debugged. And you don’t have to retire your disc copy. New Collector’s Editions of the game have been released to coinside with TQAE’s release on to consoles (Switch later in the year, others now) yesterday.
Ummm, the only way to get the new expansion for PC is to fork over $110+ for the Collectors edition (at least using the link from that website and selecting “USA”), so I would have to retire my old disks. I would also have to get a lobotomy to think this was a good idea. Even if I had the money to spare I wouldn’t waste it on that plus a model helm and a notepad.
I did notice one amusing thing though. The video that plays as soon as you follow the link features lizard and beetle monsters that look an awful lot like what we saw in the latest Misadventure!
Yeah, it’s a bit of a puzzle. Unless they don’t plan on updating the game further then disc copy would be okay. But for GD Zantai said if he recalled correctly the Kickstarter boxed copy is v1.0.3.0 and we’re already two updates beyond that for the download version and know there’s at least one more to come. So you either have a limited disc game compared to the digital one or somehow you need to be able to update the disc when new material is added. :undecided:
Yes, that was commented on in the GM thread. Still, it makes sense if you come up with a creature idea and the template is already in the game’s engine. Saves a bit of work I guess. And it’s not the first time - skellies and zombies for a start.
