D3 2.5 ptr

Primal Ancients? Really, Blizzard. The never ending grind continues.

Removing the bonus acts for bounties is a good thing, though.

Meanwhile, waiting for those ultraviolet items in Grim Dawn…

Just read the patch notes and i hope this never happens in GD.

Legendary items with a chance to be better. So it’s a roll within a roll. Some people already complain about the stats deviation in GD, this is like that but 100 times worse.

Lol, what? PRIMAL ancients? How ridiculous. Ancient items were a terrible idea to begin with. Now this crap.

I participated in every PTR from season 1 to season 7. Not once did the devs ever take anything discussed to heart. Blizz does whatever they want, when they want, with little regard for the community. The only people who even defend it anymore are those without any of idea of what makes an RPG fun.

I will admit, the crafting mats tab and the armory thing looks pretty cool. But the base game is still just a boring twenty-layer mess of RNG with zero creativity involved in anything.

Well…some of the legendary powers (once you get past the damage bloat) can be kinda fun. But that sheen rubs off pretty quickly.

Lol. That is all.

I see retards still defending their stupidity

Oh yeah…I remember what drove me to ditch D3. It was when they were told, IN the PTR, repeatedly, that the Firebird’s set bonus they had added wasn’t functioning, the infinite burn wasn’t right. They ignored that massive thread…And made that live. AND made that the free set for Wizards that season.

If that wasn’t bad enough, they then ignored 20 pages of a bug post thread until finally replying with, “We see this is an issue. We’ll strive to remedy this, but we won’t implement it until after the season is completed, as it may affect the power of the Wizard class.” What? Affect, as in, give them the power you promised? As in, make them useful that season?

Meanwhile, here I am not participating in the season and getting screwed over by the bug anyways…SMH.

It’s crap like that that make it very, very clear…If it isn’t WoW, or currently making them cash, IE Hearthstone or Overwatch…They do not, at all, care what they do.

Hahahahahah Primal Ancients.

Srsly, I like D3 for game dynamics as well as graphics/art quality, and play during a week or two every year, but lol - last time I got maybe 5 or 6 Ancient pieces before I quit. Guess I’ll never see these brand new hyperlegendaries. :undecided:

“We added Power Creep with Ancient Legendaries. Then we doubled it!”

Same exact thing for me. I come back every PTR, except the last one, to test things out and point out imbalance issues and bugs. And EVERY TIME they don’t fix the balance issues or the bugs. Like mentioned above, they were told numerous times about the firebird’s bug before it went live and they never fixed it. It totally invalidated the leaderboards for that entire season. For 3 months, the game was pointless - and that’s assuming you even still liked the game at that point.

I’m happy that they added the armory and the mats tab, it’s a good addition and it’s what the community has always wanted. However, the game is broken and a chore to play. Nothing they add will fix that; they need to address the core problems with their game design. And they can do it almost purely with numbers. Yes it has failed as a successor to Diablo II, but it’s still an alright game in it’s own right. If only they could balance shit (group/solo xp disparity, class set disparity, group meta balance) and stop adding in RNG power creep.

LOL. Exactly.

Hey bro, I heard you like power creep with your power creep with your power creep…

It’s just… ugh. It could be such a great easy pick up game to screw around with if blizz could just learn that RNG on RNG on RNG power creep is pretty much the worst thing you can do in a game. It’s a chore, it’s not fun, it limits potential creativity. And it’s not just Diablo, it’s made it’s way into WoW too. It’s like… not only do they totally ruin D3 and somehow not learn, they also stuck it in another of their games just to spite people it seems.

SO basically they are doing the norm, and screwing over players and honestly expect them to say gee wizz blizz thanks for not even using lube?

although the mats /armory thing should have been a thing since the game first launched IMO .

Lol, Primal Ancients…well that’s the nail in the coffin for me, took long enough to get all my chars geared up with decent Ancients. No thanks.

Blizzard reply : Dry anal is the best anal

I will always be grateful to Blizzard for Diablo 1,2, Lost Vikings, Blackhawk, Warcraft and Starcraft. I also find it very nice that they still support D3 — 5 years after release. I played it (after Reaper of Souls came out), and had some fun, and sometimes return back to it to see what’s new. Never was hardcore enough to grind for top gear, so do not care much about these primal ancient stuff.

I just find it sad, somehow, that here on these forums there is seemingly only hate left for company that gave us some of the great games, and started the genre. So I decided to drop some thankfulness 2 Bliz in this thread. Even though I don’t care much for their current endeavors, I will remember the good times they gave me, and will check out their new stuff, if it would look interesting to me.

And yeah, I do realize that most of an old team are no longer in Bliz, but someone must be there still? And also think new guys must have been taught something by old crew before them going away.

Please don’t burn me alive? %-)

It’s precisely because Blizzard gave us such wonderful experiences in the past that they are hated so now. Applying WoW mechanics to Diablo along with myriad other stuff-ups has left a very bitter community. The whole “Here’s an event some coders thought up in their spare time and we have this DLC for…sometime next year” was just plain insulting to the fans for a series of such legacy celebrating 20 years.

I think what inflames it further is there is a new audience of gamers that enjoy D3 as an action beat-em-up type game and don’t understand the problem

There wasn’t opportunity to do that as most of Blizzard North - including ALL the core guys - was already long gone. Some of BN moved to Blizzard but none with the real knowledge.

Anyway, Blizzard wouldn’t have wanted this as all the tension between Blizzard North and Blizzard was the differences of opinion on what should be Diablo 3.
When BN closed, Blizzard threw away everything done for D3 and started a completely new D3 developped by a team of guys from Blizzard, that would follow the Blizzard way.

The team responsible for Diablo 1 + 2 (Blizzard North) have long since departed and Diablo 3 was created by a completely new team. Frankly it shows, it is Diablo in name only.

Of course they’d add more power creep to the game that has little to no point in making more then 1 of each character.

Same reason why they added Paragon Levels even though the old D3 devs claimed to be against the “Diablo 2 level 99 grind”.

People hit max level too quickly so the devs had to add more randomness/time consuming things that don’t add anything substantial to the game.
