Corn all the way.
So wait,
Is it:
Keep the base 6
Get rid off all vanilla classes for other custom classes
Corn base 6?
Cornucopia made changes to the base six. Right now, the DAIL base six are 99% vanilla. I’ve only experienced the nightblade stuff, but thought it was good. Check out their thread for full change log.
tbh, not much changes i’m interested in, mostly because I don’t play arcanist.
I’d vote for either corn changes (since other’s probably enjoy arcanist) or straight up replace the six base classes (which vote option is that?)
As things stand I’d love to see just about all of Cornucopia moved over (components too). The Cornucopia masteries feel more in line with many of the added masteries than the Crate versions (fewer bland abilities, others made more viable).
That said, I could see there being cause for concern with two big, popular compilations both being tied to Cornucopia class balance. Even if you incorporated as it currently stands then never again it represents power creep.
Given the state of the modding community and the devs involved, most projects have been provided as usable/mergable as long as credit is given. And some allow changes to their mod as long as credit is given.
It is best that DAIL and Grimarillion stay different, and I believe they will. I have posted other discussions seeking input to further separate the two, though my ideas were trumped by Davood. If I, or the community, feel the two are becoming too similar, changes will be made.
Concerns like this are why I like to run polls before making large changes to DAIL. And as long as players like you continue to raise concerns, I think the modding scene can avoid decay a bit longer.
