There is a “Tips” text on loading the game sometimes that says we can directly control villagers. If that’s so, please tell me how since I’m dying over here.
Alpine Valley settlement, my third one, and I’m taking it slow and easy. Trailblazer difficulty. When I chose my town center, I chose it near all the resources I would need and a nice fertile area (felt pretty lucky). Unfortunately, there were also wolf dens nearby. I destroyed one by building over it after targeting all my hunters in that area to wipe out the wolves. A laborer came along and poked at the den until it collapsed. But a little further out, just on the edge of the unexplored, there are two more dens (possibly three from the number of wolves milling about). My hunters keep getting overwhelmed and killed. And then the people going to get the bodies get killed. And then the wolves, with their blood up, come into my settlement and kill even more people. Even if my hunters manage to wipe out the dens nobody goes over to destroy the dens. So they come back!!!
Any tips for getting rid of the wolves? If you can directly control the villagers to attack animals, I’m planning a mass charge at the dens.
Please help.
