Hi all. I appreciate it if you could look at my build and provide some constructive feedback as well as suggestions on itemisation for gear e.g. which relic is best (currently using Torment), any specific weapons to aim for?
I’ve just started Elite at level 50. I have all my devotion points already because I’ve done a fair bit of crucible. My aim is now to complete main campaign on Elite and onwards.
The build is doing OK, but I feel like there is something missing.
I also had a 2H version with a spectral warmaul with lots of Phys -> vit conversion and attack speed. There I did not use Break morale or Olerons rage. Instead I had Harbinger of souls and Siphon souls (for healing and resistance reduction). Devotions were cetralized at Kraken, Manticore and Rattosh the veilwarden. I could not find a GrimTools for that version, I know it did sick damage but was a bit fragile (I did not have enough armor, health and capped resistances at that point in time so I switched for physical damage and S&B)
Get yourself focused: reap spirit aint gonna do jack for you as deathknight, so get rid of it. Pick a damage type (vit, aether or phys) and get +% damage to it, conversion to it and resistance reduction to it. Cadance + Deadly momentum or Forcewave (with 2hander and tremor transmuter) is best melee option. Get 1 point into ravenous earth, it is a good skill for proccing devotions.
I’m doing a two handed of the build, but you’re saying that Cold damage isn’t the way to go? Im guessing necrotic edge isn’t worth picking up? Also should I just drop my two handed and go whatever and shield? It’s not too hard to pick up and start over on the build where I left off
Also how did you get The Shield Maiden devotion, i'm stuck with six points and only three in the Blue Devotions

Yeah go Physical damage, or vitality or Aether with death knight. Physical is easiest to start with because you have resistance reduction for that type on both masteries.
I did not get it beacuse I do not feel it is needed because of Overguard, shield training and Markovian set pieces. I am about to get rid of Shield Maiden too and pick up another devotions, something like this https://www.grimtools.com/calc/a2d67z5Z
Thanks for the input. This is the characteras it is now. Only 69 and all gear self found. Obviously gear will get better.
I chose Reap Spirit because I really like how the playstyle feels. No matter how good the character is, if it feels wrong then it won’t get played. Reap Spirit allows me to initiate combat from range and provides a target while I close distance.
I agree about the cold damage and will drop Necrotic edge.
I have chosen to focus on Vitality damage as seen on the character sheet. I get vitality RR via Will of Ratosh bound to War Cry.
I love how it plays and survivability is really good in both campaign and crucible. It has facetanked everything it has come up against so far without dps output being slow, though I appreciate this is only Elite.
I wonder what tweaks I can make to the devotion setup including assignment?
Yeah i’ve noticed a bigger damage output with my DK, and less wasted points on my part. I might keep the shield maiden trees as I love big meaty tank characters and Shieldmaiden looks to add to that.
