Defence Gatling gun :)

Top defence tip: I have noticed that if you have an uppgraded barracks building with 14 soldiers in it and leave them in then building when the raiders arrive, the building becoes a virtual Gatling gun  There is so far no amount of raiders that can survive that.

Is there any reason why you insist on “14” soldiers, precisely?
Are you sure it’s not the bees that kill them?
(You’re probably not getting any honey bonus, btw)

Other posters have noted in the past that Barracks upgraded or not are Super Towers if manned by any number of soldiers, putting out far more arrows than the towers. I seem to remember one gamer having replaced virtually all of his Towers with lightly-manned Barracks in the late game because they were a more efficient defense against raids or armies.
Personally I have found this to be true (maybe not to ‘gatling gun’ level) even with as few as 3 soldiers in a basic Barracks - they did at least twice the damage of any of my towers, even after the towers were upgraded and the barracks was not.

Ha ha, no, not other than the majority of 426 raiders just passed, or tried to pass, outside that wall. Those who didn’t perish decided to turn around

You never know  And yes, I am aware of not getting any bee bonus. I did try to figure out how that would work by placing the bee hives in various places, but the results of those trials didn’t show so much difference. How did you place yours and what results did that yeld?

They really are! In this map I decided not to go for double walls and instead use barracks. So far it works well (I have five of which one is fully stocked with soldiers)

Gat-gun in action :slightly_smiling_face:

i’m curious - how much honey and wax do u get from that stacked apiary?
