Hello guys, i need a bit of help building a 2h ranged weapon demolitionist. Ultil now my build (if you can call it that way) looks like this: Flame touched and sinergy 12, fire strike and all his synergies full, blast shield 12, vindictive flame 1, ulzuin’s wrath 1. And my devotions are:falcon, imp, kraken and curently working on ghoul for the attack damage converted to health (sry i can’t provide you with a link but i cannot post links/immages until i have 3 or more forum posts)
Attributes: 26 cunning, 20 phis.
Any suggestion about talent build, second mastery etc are more than welcome. I want to continue to play with 2h ranged weapons.
Soldier is a good choice for the extra damage buff from Field Command and Squad Tactics, alongside its proc Fighting Spirit. The mastery bar also gives you a lot of physique, this means you have more hp in the end.
Occultist is good for the elemental debuff Curse of Frailty and Blood of Dreeg, Aspect of Guardian healing/buff abilities. Possession is a good damage buff and mitigation aura. Witchfire aura provides a bit of extra attack speed and chaos damage buff.
Arcanist is another good choice, its mastery bar offers a lot of spirit (elemental damage and mana regen), Mirror helps you survive when surrounded and Maiven’s Sphere gives you extra damage mitigation when on. Lastly, the Iskandra branch buffs your elemental damage and elemental DoT. It can also offer great mana regen. Some passives give mana reduction.
Skill wse, I would not put too many points in blast shield.
I would put some points into spirit as it directly scales your fire damage from fire strike (also helps for wearing high level jewelry).
Pick Occultist as second mastery, it’s by far the best choice.
Soldier is much worse.
Arcanist is as bad as soldier.
Nightblade and Shaman are just awful (for Fire Strike).
Reasons for Occultist:
Resistance reduction curse (can be stacked with Thermite mine for kick-ass resist reduction). Drastically increases your DPS, no other class can provide that.
Huge resistance bonuses (+100% poison, +12% physical, +25% chaos, also some vitality res) and 12% damage absorb. You will be as tanky as with soldier!
Chaos damage bonuses (both flat and percentage) - they greatly synergyze with Abomibable Might proc, Shadowflame Shoulders (BiS item), Harbinger set (BiS) and other potentially BiS items. Also, there is some attack speed bonus.
Oh, and you dont need spirit (except for gear requirements). Put all spare points into physique.
