Demonslayer Build: Witch Hunter or Reaper?

So, I’ve gotten a new full legendary set, and it’s for a skill I love: Phantasmal Blades. Trying to plan out whether I should have Occultist or Necromancer as my second mastery.

I read the guides a while back and my basic understanding is that Witch Hunter has higher DPS and Reaper is a tank.

Occultist Mastery gives Solael’s Witchfire / Second Rite, Curse of Frailty / Vulnerability, Blood of Dreeg / Aspect of the Guardian, Doom Bolt, and Posession.

Necromancer Mastery gives Spectral Binding / Spectral Wrath, Ill Omen, Soul Harvest, Mark of Torment, Siphon Souls / Blood Boil, Harbinger of Souls, and Reap Spirit.

I’m leaning towards Reaper just for the sheer volume of relevant skills and the fact that I’m pretty lousy at this game. Thoughts?

I would recommend Witch Hunter. I don’t know which one has more damage but Witch Hunter is definitely more resilient and easy to gear since you have damage absorption with skill distruption, 100% poison resist and 12% physical resist just from the Occultist mastery.

it seems more interesting (imo) for blade spirits. did you check out rancor builds since you like PB? if so, what interests you about this set for PB?

Crucible : both WH & Reaper can do this

Ravager : WH can do this, WH is obviously better thanks to 12% phys res

Mogdrogen : both can do this

Pick your target, pick your skills you love , even choose them both to adapt for awhile …
