Hi,
So recently, I was looking through a list of items, looking for something to make a melee necromancer be able to scale with different types of damage and to make it more attractive to play.
But here is where i ran into a major design flaw (in my opinion).
All these modifiers are restricted to High level legendaries or mythical versions of a legendary.
Which means, the earliest you are going to be able to use alot of these build changing items is often at level 94 at which point, you would have to play an entirely different build for 93 levels before you could actually play the you designed to play.
This is honestly demoralizing for a grim dawn player like myself as I usually just make a character, playthrough the three difficulties (if i even make it through all of them) and then design another character to play.
I don’t expect everything to be available to people for free or at any level, but why is it that the normal variants of the legendaries can’t share atleast to somedegree the skill modifiers from their mythical counterparts? And why can’t these (specifically the conversion changing modifiers) also be there on epic items.
Take the mythical mask of infernal truth for example. It reads the following :
40 Fire Damage to Canister Bomb
80% Piercing Damage converted to Fire Damage to Canister Bomb
My idea would be that for example, the normal version of this legendary would have:
30 Fire Damage to Canister Bomb
75% Piercing Damage converted to Fire Damage to Canister Bomb
And perhaps an epic rarity item of a lower level requirement that just reads:
75% Piercing Damage converted to Fire Damage to Canister Bomb
Now this is just an idea i came up with in the spur of the moment, and i’m not suggesting this is THE best idea. But I would simply like to see the build enabling modifiers from mythical items available to people at a lower level
