faith in Crate restored… time to save more money for these dudes:rolleyes:
Bysmiel’s…err…toy and Dreeg’s Axe
Looking sweet and Aegis of Menhir.
So it seems we’re indeed getting at least one new mastery then… and it’s gonna be a shield mastery, from the looks of it. That’s pretty cool!
Also those new faction gear looks pretty dope, especially that Dreeg axe/scepter/off-hand one.
Starting to suspect Aegis of Menhir is a troll job - why would the bonuses be so similar to that for Forcewave? And why would they use the word “Aegis,” which implies something defensive, for something offensive?
“Aegis” literally means “shield”, so it’s an offensive shield skill which apparently deals at least some portion of fire damage.
A shield/fire mastery? Maybe with Chaos damage since it’s been a while that we’ve seen a new Chaos-based skill (excluding transmuters)
I think it is some kind of melee mastery
I missed stream :furious:
but now happy. Thanks for the new mastery. I highly doubt it will be a nomal s and b mastery. This is paladin refined GD edition:cool:
So we’re sure this is a new mastery and not a change to a current one (or that shattering stuff)?
Aegis of Menhir is just a new name for Menhir’s Bulwark.
Either that or it’s just a clone of Forcewave, not a real skill from a new mastery. After those 2 fake spoilers from Grava, I doubt this third isn’t also fake.
I want to say Priest mastery and the item represents a Priest/Warrior combo creating a Paladin!
Missed the stream, as always. Anything else besides these two new items and a hint at a new mastery (which may or may not be true)?
Damn, I thought these were new MI. Now I am more curious about what kind of new faction that is. Maybe it will be like some kind of hybrid new race of intelligent creature like slith…

I think the first one is from Bysmiel and the second one is from Dreeg.
Or maybe it’s both.
Inb4 the new mastery is an exact copy-paste of Soldier but with different damage types and skill names.
That would be quite interesting, but more work than just adding transmuter skills tomexisting trees.
Still waiting for Grava’s build to be posted so I can start doing Grava runs
Also gotta find an elderly cat to crap all over the place during my deaths for a comprehensive, Gravatastic experience
Maybe they are remodelling soldier tree, because it’s kinda boring? It’s awfully useful, I’d be the first to admit, cause that’s what saved my char from deleting I had a vindicator, and changed inq. to soldier, and that was a whole new level of defense. But still, whenever I start with soldier I get bored, and leave for some unspecified later…
Maybe they make a soldier more fun to play and not just defense addition?
I’d love to have a new class though - I always liked to play paladins and clerics and such. Or a monk in D3. I miss that kind of, uhm, righteous class But maybe it doesn’t fit the world of Cairn…
never going to happen. The existing masteries will not be touched, all skills will still be there as per Zanta . The only logical thing thats going to happen here is having a brand new mastery.
The only thing that’s bothering me. The statement at the FG announcement: “Along with quality of life features, you will pursue new powers, hundreds…”. What on earth is pursuing new powers all about? It must mean new skills outside masteries/classes!
