How can I tell if a recipe is of the new AoM style? Is it the ones with a level 90 requirement, or are there others too?
I usually see the tick of each dot, not the total damage…or am I mistaken on that?

Just noticed that life leech is at -25%. With everything else up, how important is that particular stat? Does Life leach skills still have to get past vitality or another resist, or is that going to get me killed?

Life leech is not that common and resistance is hard to find too. I think cabra does it, out of new monsters that are dangerous. Still, people often ignore it.
Life reduction is a dangerous one, but I don’t think there is a way for you to get resistance to it.
It appears to be working. Even when I’m not logged into photobucket, it shows up. Is it still giving issues?
OA is at 2554, DA is 2601, HP is almost 12k, and all but stun is within 1% of max or max, stun is at 60%. Physical resist is at 35%.
I got inside the city, and felt my damage in take was too high and made some adjustments. Mainly, 50% physical resistance mostly from a shield with practically nothing else on it (30% physical resistance though), so I’ve made a few adjustments.
DPS is 80k in Seal, DA is over 2600 still, and OA is at 2580. Things are going strong now. Physical damage is no longer my concern. Now I have to watch out for those special abilities, like Harraxis’ aether wraiths that tether.
Is a caster off-hand strictly worse than a shield? I’m doing a similar build but I’m using a caster off-hand at lvl 79 and I’m kinda getting rekt
Offhands have cast speed, +%damage, mana regen and skills while shields mostly roll defensive stats. It is trading offense for defense. If you are playing purifier you have to stick to offhands because mana regen, and get your physical resist from aura of conviction. If it is mage hunter, you can do such swap in case you need more defense. You are getting rekt you say? Then perhaps you do need more defense.

If these roll an extra physical resist affix on top of base it can get to 20%
I was hoping to not have to use a shield mainly because I hate block recovery but as it stands right now I might need that extra defense. I’m playing a Mage Hunter with Life Leech from Ghoulish Hunger, Chariot and I’m on my way to Dryad which I’ll attach to the presence aura once I get that chest. Owl is also fantastic for keeping the energy cost manageable.

My plan for my Mage Hunter was to tank, and I found a shield with 30% physical resistance, and pretty much nothing else, but 30% is an awful lot of physical resistance on a single piece of gear.
What about damage procs? I’m torn between Meteor Shower and Fissure on FoI since I’ve got witchblade on the seal.
Flames hit 3-5 times (depends on cdr and castspeed) per second and can hit several things at once, so ideally you want a zero cooldown devotion skill on it. If you don’t have one, take the one with the lowest cooldown. Meteor shower seems like a big waste of potential in this case.
I’m not the best person to ask this. I played my character as a tank. I only have 2 slots, I use Elemental Storm and Twin Fangs. But yeah, a low CD, ideal no CD devotion would be best. Twin Fangs is .6 seconds, so it gives me a nice steady flow of HP, and does a little damage too. I don’t know if there are any no CD devotion skills.
Another option to go, for a more offensive build, is to stack elemental resist reduction.
Honestly, I’m trying to do the same thing: sit in seal and keep RMB pressed, mainly because PoE spoiled me with a 12k ES Incinerate dude I used to have before the Vaal Pact nerf. Now that you mentioned shields I’m thinking of scrapping Chariot and going for Shieldmaiden and Tree of Life or Spring Maiden for the extra heal procs though I reckon dryad should keep me topped up once I can get my hands on that bloody legendary chest.
You won’t have very good block and shield recovery without soldier so there is no need to invest into them. Shield is for stats.
Meteor shower duration is about the same as its recharge time, when first one ends, another one starts. Fissure has even shorter recharge. Then torch has better stats then magi, if you don’t mind the constant meteors visual.
Thanks for the heads up on the shield stuff but I came to the conclusion that fissure does more dps than shower, which casts roughly 5 meteors a second. Even 1 fissure can shotgun a medium-sized boss for 5 fragments easily, and proccing 3 of those at the same time really outclasses meteor shower by quite a margin.
Flame torrent. It’s literally going off all the time with FoI, it’s super effective 
I guess you could also use witchfire but there’s not much of a point, mechanically.
I finally got the Dryad train working and I respecced out of lantern and into Fetid Pool for the slow and I gotta say, as long as you don’t get crit, you can pretty much facetank anything. I should also probably mention that I have 10 points in mirror in case I need to get the fuck outta dodge
Yesterday, I decided to farm for this dagger, and after a few runs, hitting up both Janaxxia and Lorria, I gave up. Then later that day, I decided it was time to switch from the cold build back to fire, since I really did not have crap for cold based Ignaffar damage. Guess what I found in my inventory? The dagger.
Anyway, she’s self buffed to 142K DPS and procs over 150K, with -75% energy cost reduction. Now I just have to level up Eldritch fire and Meteor Shower. I also need to figure out how to get my DA and OA fixed. They are not as high as they should be.
