Yeah, some of this is way overboard since Judgment et al. can already reach 100%. FWIW, %CDR can bring down Elemental storm’s cooldown to within the 1.0s tick rate. Checking everything with resets like Belgothian’s Carnage and Aeon’s Hourglass is a bit beyond my willpower.
Cadence/HoW are weird
I added links where I could. Might be cool if HoW could be bound as defensive ability with a small boost like Arcane Will or Fighting Spirit.
wd dmg does not factor in to breaking boxes
Wearing a Fleshwarped Casque lets War Cry break boxes. What else could it be? Try it out just north of Asterkarn Valley’s rift. Very satisfying.
it’s not the WD causing it on Warcry, it’s it getting dmg
War cry is not a debuff skill nor a dmg aura, so it can break stuff, but it still requires dmg to trigger it, - krieg’s helmet will do it just fine with 0 wd
i don’t know if you know how to mod stuff or try check/confirm things through modding too, but it’s a simple or useful tool sometimes when it’s just basic stat changes on a skill.
you can add all the wd to HoW you want and it wont break boxes because it’s a dmg aura, likewise you can add all the wd to siphon souls you want and it wont break boxes as its skill template doesn’t include it
It’s why i gave specific examples of stuff that will never break things like swarm etc (to the point players even have made posts remarking it’s “bugged” not breaking walls or vases)
i’ve no idea, somewhere, dragon’s secondary mechanic post maybe
tqfan or denis? had like a total breakdown of it with plenty pics/videos to show test results confirming it.
that’s not the point… the point was it’s not even necessary to factor in outside cdr effects, if you just pick a base matching skill that will either 100% guarantee or dismiss by lining up the interaction at base intervals.
Eg if suspicion is 100% trigger rate and you have a base skill with lower cd than 1 sec and “guaranteed” trigger rate of 1sec(HoW tick rate), but you dont’ see procs 100% of the time it’s already solved, “decreasing the possibility of error/conflict”
But you’re then complicating matters by not doing that, adding mistakes to the self-confirmation that’s easy to rule out - and voila 3 people debating for 3-4 replies on something that was simply just down to less accurate/considerate test parameters
“players even have made posts remarking it’s “bugged” not breaking walls or vases”
If skeletons and ghosts can bleed to death, why not walls and doors? I must admit, it did feel “wrong” to have to bind a plain ol’ attack skill when other bindings weren’t sufficient. War cry can do that with added weapon damage.
modding
I enjoy vanilla, but the thought has crossed my mind.
testing is complicated
Yeah. If there were cooldown-free 100% proc rates (which would probably be op), it would probably be easier to tell.
