After completing the game I wanted to try a higher difficulty. I switched to “Veteran”. I expected that the whole game will be reset, like in Diablo 2, but nothing changed.

What am I supposed to do with my Blademaster now? I would like to get some nice legendary items.

Veteran is a modifier to normal and not a difficulty of its own. Proceed to Elite, if it proves too difficult fall back to Veteran to farm and then try again.
