I would really prefer to use it over Primal Instinct but the pet is pretty ineffective. The stats are nice and if it attacked like the hellhound or blight fiend it would be worth it to me to use over Primal Instinct even with some damage loss (I prefer the perm pets) As it is though, it doesn’t engage consistently, often not attacking at all, has a really long cast time on its prison type attack, uses its cleave attack outside of melee range, and is a lot slower than my other pets for some reason, so it starts every fight from far away anyway. When it gets going on a big mob it does good work, but I think it actually has less effective up time than the Primal Instinct spawns. They summon and go right after the enemy. Even the Heart of the Mountain Yeti has better ai. His special attack is slow but at least he runs around really fast and engages. I am hoping it will be patched eventually.
I use it for farming, and switch to Primal Instinct on certain mobs. It is a tough mother great for killing Kuba or Grava.
I do like how tanky it is. It might have the best health pool of any pet. I just wish it were more aggressive and had a much shorter cast time on its prison ability. That is even a good ability, but it takes a long time to cast and the skeleton casts it quite often.
