[POTENTIAL SPOILERS]
Has anyone managed to complete the Dirge of Night quest? I have all needed items, but I cannot seem to find the owner.
Any help would be appreciated, thats pretty much my last quest, apart from Kurn and Noktukari bounties for rep.
I have also been trying to figure that quest out, what are the items you collected other than just the note?
there are 3 notes in total, once you collect them you have to hand them to the owner of the weird poem. I tried some old faces as well like Creed and Ulgrim, but so far no luck.
Where are the other two? I was thinking maybe you could try Valyria?
How do you even start the quest?
I wish OP would be willing to share more info, I found 1 note called rumination of night to the east of Kurnhold but have no idea where durge of night or the other note is found. Some of us are speculating in another thread that the notes are related to the secret quest for the new DLC.

The author is
Valyria, she is found at the North Western part of the Roof of the World, at Yulgir’s Overlook, south of the Windwalker’s Den Entrance.
Where did you find Rumination of Night. It’s the only one I’m missing.

sorry guys, I am not sure where exactly i picked the 3 notes already, i stormed through all HC content in like 10 hours and my head is still a mess. All i know is that once you’re on the quest after getting at least 1 page, the leftover pages will be marked as stars on your minimap when you’re nearby.
Sadly this is not the secret quest, but you do get +1 skill point as a reward in the end. The secret quest will possibly involve the burnt tree, the beaver npcs and maybe wood chips? Those are the leftover “mysteries” for me at this stage.
Where did you find it? it is not on a map in grimtools.
Sorry but im not sure, it might have been near the Voldur River rift? It was early in my playthrough and I didnt get a screenshot of the location.
Ruination of Night was where I stand on the map. Where are the other two? They should be named Dirge of the Night and End of Night, You can find the names of these quest items in grimtools but not where they are.
Check out this other thread, I wasnt 100% sure at the time that the notes didnt have a secondary use so I screenshotted the locations of the other two notes when I found them.
I’ve done the burnt tree quest, IIRC it gives you an attribute point. Or not, I know there’s two quests for attribute points. On my second playtru I’ll try to take notes and snapshots. But I’m already creating bookmarks for DPYes.
There’s still one quest left for me, it involves opening the path tru a ice wall to reach Kruu’Sul Crags. Drang’Gal fortress probably will be the skeleton dungeon but I’m not sure.
edit: opened the path but still no sight of the skeleton dungeon…guess I’ll have to grind faction for a bit.
That helped thanks. Went through the first playthrough ignoring notes and it was a mistake.

Devs said that the skeleton dungeon will be dropping in a patch in a few weeks I believe, but I think you are right I also think Drang’gal will be the location when it comes out.
