Disease on Hit (weapon pool skill)

Hi all,

Apologies if this is a simplistic question … but I wanted to know if I can design a weapon pool skill which will spread a disease upon hit. I want it wrapped into the base (square) skill, and not as an enhancement down the line - but I will do a round skill down the path if I must.

You can do it with autocasts but you will remove the ability to attach devotions. You can do it through a modifier instead which will allow devotions.

A WPS, specifically, not an attack replacer?

Seems like you’d make it grant a 100% chance to cause X on hit, and give the WPS itself whatever chance you pleased. X being the disease, of course. Or if you’re not thinking of a Bloody Pox style spread, you could use something more like Fetid Pool on hit. Just my 2 C

I misspoke. It IS an attack replacer sort of attack. As in LMB assigned. Essentially the goal is to create an attack that hits, infects with a low damage, but longish lasting disease effect. It’s my attempt at designing the “trash clearer” on my mastery, but not something that nukes a screen on each swing.

Does that change it up? I was going to look at Fire Strike as my base, and see if there’s any way to hook in a disease effect into it (after I alter the damage type of Fire Strike).

Edit: I see the “autocastskill” line now, under Fire Strike’s Skill Config, which looks exactly like what ASYLUM101 was saying. I’d probably go with that if it’d work - devotion procs or not. Admittedly, a devotion attached to a Pox style spreading LMB attack would be proccing as often as it possibly could. But … maybe that’s okay.
