Do People Usually do AoM content in Normal or Epic

Hi I’m just wondering if people do all content clear in all difficulties: normal, epic, and legendary?

Alternatively do people skip some content in normal and/or epic and if so could you describe what to skip (and thereby what to make sure to do)?

It’s all about the reputation. Augements are important, therefore doing AoM is very important, if you have +100% bonus reputation, you can achieve revered status after two runs.

I personally do AoM all the time because I like it more than the vanilla game.

I tend to skip most of AoM until Epic.

I like to have all of my resistances in order, first.

That, and having a lvl 65 set on help a lot.

Up until 65, I’ll run the Lokkar set for the exp boost.

But I’ll run Lokkar through lvl 100 if I’m running a 40-Soldier build

I do on normal and epic.

I do it on all difficulties. I’m not one for doing bounties to gain rep so running through AoM helps with that. Plus I hate skipping content. :stuck_out_tongue:

Plus you’re missing out on 5 shrines if you skip AoM in Normal.

A good trick I used to do was check the bounty table to see if any available quests were conveniently placed ‘along the way’ to my primary objective.

For example, if I’m about to go slap cronley silly, an ideal bounty would be kill 10x of his ascended clowns.

Really speeds up the leveling process.

I do AoM on all difficulties - as already mentioned having the rep in place to get the right resistance augments by the time you hit ultimate is huge. Also that way if I need to craft something requiring aetherial missives/wendigo spirits/ugdenbloom I already have a little stockpile by ultimate.

Yeah, I always forget to check for those. But then I don’t want to level too quickly, otherwise I’ll become demotivated when I hit L100 again. Just running quests atm so I don’t reach it too soon.

Why does 100 = demotivation?

I normally run through it on Normal until I have all the factions then I skip it on Elite unless I want some extra levels before Ultimate.

To me, the true game is Ultimate. Normal and Elite exist to prep your character for Ultimate.

Edit: If it really bothers you, you can always go back to Normal and Elite to do the content as it is a completely isolated world space but you’ll quickly find it boring.

The real game of Grim Dawn is Ultimate just like Diablo 2 was Hell. Best loot, hardest content, etc. Why delay it any longer than you have to if your build can handle it?

Just Normal and Ultimate usually.

I do everything because i’m insane.

But the main reason is just really for AoM rep and Aetherial Vanguard infamy. If i leave act 6 for Ultimate, i’ll have to do both in Ultimate and a lot of the times i need augments from Malmouth to cap my res. Plus i do in Normal and Elite to unlock Aleksander as soon as possible.

I do AoM content on all difficulties for the same reason as Norzan.

I try to do all stuff in Veteran and Elite that gives devotion, stash space or some useful item like skeleton key, wendigo spirit etc. In Ultimate, I usually am capped at devotions so there I try to do everything

Same here. I think this is the most efficient.

Unlock barrowholm on normal then jump to elite. If I hit 100 before maxing out most important reputations something went terribly wrong in my eyes.
