Does anyone have an idea what causes this and how to fix?

So I played this game a good bit off and on over the years but had to stop early last year due to severe fps issues (under 7fps) that seemed to happen out of no where. I decided that with the upcoming expansion I wanted to fix the game and went through every thread with guides and suggestions and nothing helped. I noticed this bizarre thing in my video settings for the refresh rate. For every resolution/refresh option I see, they all have refresh rate showing over 100k. After exhausting every solution I could find to improve my performance I finally just did a totally pc factory restore and when I tried Grim Dawn again my performance was fixed 60fps but I still have those same refresh rates showing.

I have Windows 10 fully updated and all drivers up to date. I’m playing the GoG version but considering purchasing it for Steam if I catch the next deal.
Alienware 17 r4
Intel i7-7700HQ CPU @2.80GHz
Geforce GTX 1060 (game is using this GPU with vsync and tri buffer on profile)

If anyone has any ideas of what causes these refresh rates to display I would be very appreciative of some help. Though the game performs well now I am worried I will run into the same problem again later. I know I can add the correct setting in the options text file but ideally I would figure out why I have this issue to begin with.

Thank you!

Go here…
C:\Users\YOUR USERNAME\Documents\My Games\Grim Dawn\Settings

Open the options.txt file.

Find the “refreshRate” line in this file. Change whatever is there so it looks like this: refreshRate = 60000 1000

Save and start up the game.

As for why… I don’t know. Some other users have the issue here and there it seems.

Thanks for your help  Have a great day.
