I played Crucible a lot and still can’t answer this question. I know that lightning/aether certainly does, rarely chaos/vitality. What about pierce tho?

Well when that happens your just SOL reguardless.
Against reaper it makes sense, against fabius, pfff, he is a joke nowadays, facetankable by any half-decent character. Against something I am cooking he has no chances, but probably gonna look for some pierce overcap in case Reaper comes for me.
