Does retaliation-damage counts as attack damage?

Hi, does anyone know if retaliation-damage oder reflected-damage
counts as an attack damage, which could trigger a devotion proc,
basend on probabiltiy of attack?

Squib refer to “retaliation procs”, ie items that cast something when YOU are hit…

Retalliation damage doesnt count as “weapon damage”. Reflected damage ("%damage reflected) reflects all “weapon damage” effects your enemy has, but it does nothing with your own “weapon damage”.

So if it counts as weapons-damage, it should trigger procs with a x%-chance
on attack. Is that the right conclusion?

No, weapon damage is not required to activate conditional procs. A skill doesn’t even need to do damage to activate a chance on attack proc (they can proc with flashbang or curse of frailty for example).

Retaliation or reflect will not activate chance on attack procs because it is not an attack, it is an effect applied to an enemy for attacking you.

It counts as enemy’s “weapon damage”, not yours. Thus, yours “on-attack” procs wont trigger.
