Just started a new run, my first attempt at arid highlands, vanq, large map size with DLC on.
Year 5, got my trading post, got my field already infested (ofc during bean season …) with groundhogs, i was like, okey, lets get dogs.
Then came the shock that dogs are more expensive than goats
I mean, since it’s my first time, i cant judge the price range variances, but the pricing seems waaaay off, I was expecting that price would be somewhere between chicken and goat range.
That does seem on the high end. At Trailblazer difficulty I am usually in the 300’s gold per dog. Perhaps at Vanquisher difficulty the base costs are inflated.
EDIT: Base prices do vary between traders, as do what is available to buy/sell.
Prices vary per year and then each trader also has variance each time they show up. 500 is just a high price this time around, not the norm. Pretty sure costs are not inflated on vanquisher either; I’d consider 300-350 the usual price from playing that difficulty.
Maybe it’s a rare breed
