Hi all, just in case your don’t read the bug reports, don’t upgrade your Hunter Cabins. Currently it is bugged and will keep making animal traps rather than hunt deer and so doesn’t produce raw meat. You you could upgrade a few cabins just to be trapping cabins only. Cheers.
Traps still produce meat, the hunter simply doesn’t hunt.
But I think it is at a vastly lower amount. My meat production fell off a cliff when I upgraded all my hunter cabins to Level 2. Just watch out for it and see how much meat is actually being produced.

Actually, do build them, the traps give you lots of pelts, which you can then use for more tanneries to sell jackets on the market for lots of money.
Yes I noticed this too. It was irritating. And the slider for the traps seems to work for some hunter’s lodges and not others. If it doesn’t allow you to lower the number of traps, then the hunters don’t see to produce much meat. (Somewhere in the game it says that traps are not the greatest for producing meat.) This seems like a bug?
And yeah it’s great for pelts and fat, but I really need more meat.
I’ve been assuming that the point of upgrading the hunter cabins is not to catch more deer, but so that hunters don’t need the deer spots to hunt, so the upgraded hunter cabins can be used productively in more places, rather than be more productive in the same place, if that makes sense.
