Say, I have Oleron’s Rage, which gives me n internal trauma damage per second.
Now I hit an enemy with a weapon attack, so I apply a n/sec internal trauma damage on the enemy.
Then I hit that enemy with Blade Arc with 135% weapon damage. Question is, do I applied 2.35n/sec internal trauma damage on the enemy, because they stack? Or does the 135% weapon damage version of internal trauma damage per second from Oleron’s Rage overwrite the previous 100% so I only apply 1.35n/sec internal trauma damage on the enemy?
Further question: is the flat dot damage bonus on Oleron’s Rage and Stormcaller’s Pact considered as same source so they don’t stack in the case above? If this is the case, how about the flat dot damage bonus from items and devotion?
Yeah dots from different sources stack.
Say you have a skill applying a Internal trauma dot and your weapon thats two different sources and so they do stack.
Jarl, thank you. I know dots from different sources stack.
So, my question is - Does the flat dot damage bonus from skill, item and devotion stacks when applied with different skills that have a % weapon damage component?
For example, consider that I got 1000/sec flat bonus of internal trauma dot from skill, item and devotion. If I attack an enemy with a skill that does 100% weapon damage, I applied 1000/sec of internal trauma damage to that enemy.
Then I attack this enemy with a different skill which does 300% weapon damage to that enemy. Will I now apply a 4000/sec of internal trauma damage to this enemy in total?
I tried testing this with Nidalla’s Hidden Hand - and at least there it seemed that you only ever got 1 stack of poison from your weapon damage (whichever hand and % dealt more) and one stack of Nidalla’s HH no matter if you hit with one of the three procs or all three in a row. Similar results adding Shadowstrike + Nidalla’s Justifiable Ends to the mix.
Really sorta killed the (melee) poison build for me.
Now this was just some prelim testing on the dummy - but it sure looked like you only ever got one “weapon damage” stack per enemy.
