DoTs and ADctH

Since this forum’s search function omits anything less than 4 letters long, I can’t search for DoT. :furious:
So if this question has already been asked and answered, please don’t mind me.

Does ADctH work with DoT damage that applies through % weapon damage? For example, the trauma damage on Oleron’s Rage.

no

Uber lame. They should change that.
Yeah, I know there’s Life Leech, but it’s not the same.

Perfect the way it is

I don’t want DoT to be anymore powerful than it already is

If ADCTH doesn’t work with DoT from weapon damage, does it work from DoT from skills?

For example Devouring Swarm does about 50 Vitality Damage and 50 Bleed per second with 20% Attack Damage converted to Health.

If I focus on Vitality Damage and have +500% Vitality Damage, DS would do 300 Vitality damage of which 20% of 300 would go to Health…

I I focus on Bleed and have +500% Bleed Damage, DS would do 300 Bleed per second. Would I still only get the 20% of the 50 Vitality damage or also 20% of the 500 bleed damage in health?

Only the vitality part will heal you based on the damage it does. DoT’s don’t life steal onless it’s the life leech Dot, which isn’t very good except vs mobs

Good thing this game is full of mobs.

Too bad they aren’t there when your life depends on life leech.

If there’s no enemies to leech off, it means you’re in a safe area and you don’t need to leech. In that case it’s best to let constitution do it’s thing, or go buy a health potion.

Not sure if you are pretending to be retarded or serious, but I will spell out: bosses are immune/highly resistant to life leech, which makes miniscule values of it even less relevant.

They arent. You can still leech life well from bosses (with few exceptions).

Now on topic - ADCTH doesnt work with dots, because it would be too powerful then (especially in Crucible). Things like Vendigo constellation already make wonders there, imagine how it will be for any weapon DoT build (bleed, poison, frostburn, etc)…
