[Druid] Sherkhan's Thunderstrike (2H Ranged Primal Strike | 50 Shaman 15 Arcanist)

I am having a blast with this build, now lvl 28 on Normal/Veteran and not one death !
Even killed Salazar at lvl 18.

Just one question: why do you pick Viper ?
Seems like only very mild bonuses.

Since when resist reduction and 4%oa are mild bonuses?
The real reason is probably because it gives 2 red 3 blue, which is exactly the stats one needs for Spear of the Heaven (or Ultos).

Got it, in the first post of this thread the resist reduction does not appear in the grimcalc link.

As for the next constellation move, I thought Arcane Bomb hence Widow was a must for this build ? It’s only one point away after Viper.

If it was me I would had left widow for mid to late Elite.
Early on I rush Kraken, then there are multiple options, one of which is rushing SotH via Viper and Jackal. Early on the sheer increase of your damage via % bonuses is more efficient than resistance reduction.

I believe lightning 2H just does good melee, and for melee, better warder than druid.

I choose melee, because resistance is fundamental on this game, and nothing better than the soldier for provide it. In fact, Savagery 2H is better than Primal Strike because de life regeneration buff, and offensive and defensive buffs.

Look the result melee 2H savagery on this video:

I saw druids doing some nice play, please don’t get me wrong, just I feel them too fragile on defense…

Fragile? Druid is potentially one of the most durable masteries when it comes to non-shield builds.

How mate? They are pretty good on damage and the arcanist bubble is really good… but out this I don’t see skills who can help him to keep alive. Ok, shaman have the totem, but is not enough with warder sometimes, how can be good with arcanist? I don’t saw many guys doing crucible, Bastion,… Maybe I just don’t know deep the build, but I tried one time druid and I gave up for dying a lot.

Bubble is pretty much a +25% hp on top of everything else. I’d say it’s close to Military Conditioning in terms of survivability. Plus Mirror, plus Conversion.

The issue with Druid is actually offense, not defense. Warder got even slightly better defense and significantly better offense.

Compared to Conjurer and maybe even Elementalist Druid is more durable, but they in turn beat even Warder on offense due to rr.

Crucible has a somewhat different meta. Ironically I’d seen people doing aspirant/challenger with Druids on Hardcore. Not Warders or Conjurers.

So true mate… At least I die every wave 90 on gladiator. The main game and dungeons is ok(not finished AoM yet), but seems Crucible is very hard to most of builds who work good on main game. Now I’m building a deathmarked Infiltrator, to see what happens on Crucible and main game.

One more question on this build: why using the Kymon Chosen Bolter instead of Devil Musket ?
DPS much better with Devil’s weapon and at damages comes from 2 sources.

I am only lvl 46 though
